Received my jersey today, taxed for RM206. The UPS guy gave me some tips for the next order. Taken a few shots. Will post em up later after I finish work.

I 'abused' last season's Man Utd jerseys. Crying now because the line at the back is peeling off now. Maybe I want to sew it later. Iskk .. any tips?

And those tips are......

As mentioned before..

But please don't discuss it openly here because I got noted from the mods that discussing on how to avoid being taxed by the customs are illegal here.

So if there are any further discussions, the mods will take action. Please bare this in mind.

TQ

Anyone ordered from weston before?? Tried fooling around a bit with the website. Delivery charges to Bangsar was SGD36 for one jersey. Surely that can't be right???

Weston's online website used to be ok, but slacking a bit nowadays.  Also, the website is not very updated, especially for older kits.  Better off getting the kit yourself whenever you drop by Sg.

And yes, their delivery is very expensive as well.
*
Heheh, the last time I was in SG...i was 5 I think. And I'm 24 now. Just thought the delivery charges is a bit ridiculous.

Just got 3 kits from ebay. The home kit from 06/07, the white kit from last season with Saha 9 on the back and the vodafone home kit, from 2001 I think. The one before we switched to Nike. Cost me around USD90 for all 3. Won't get it until around January though. Shipped to my cousin's house in Delaware,USA and he'll only be back to KL somewhere in January.

Bought it online from United Direct during the 24 hours online sale (20% off all items).
A good buy indeed, value will be higher in the future.
Will be keeping it as a "Die Hard" United fan tongue.gif

simchi: your conversion is correct, should be around RM700-800.
Anyway, you can try http://www.footballshirts.dk/ . Safe website but might be a bit pricey.

*
Dont understand a single thing on the site. And what's the conversion rate like?? I assume it's in Danish Krones??

Damn it, lost the bidding for the white XXL MU kit from a few seasons back. The one with the stripes across. Got outbid with 1 minute left. Damn it. It's that bloody hard to find as well.

In eBay one always has to contend with 'snipers' i.e. last minute bids. It's one of the reasons why people sometimes get frustrated trying to buy stuff from there!
*
Yeah, I know about that, Just that this jersey is that damn hard to find. Well, this was the only one I could find in XXL. Well at least the only one I could find. So that pisses me off a bit.

Just went a bit crazy on ebay. Bid on 3 kits. Our first home AIG kit. 2 with Ronaldo and Carrick on the back of them with epl patches. The other one with gold lettering Park and the starball. All for a total of around rm300 or so. All XXL. Just went a bit nuts there. Hahaha. Lost at the last minute before that for a Rooney one in gold lettering and a Solskjaer one in gold lettering.

Got back from the Adidas warehouse sale in TTDI. There were last season's home Pool and white away kit going for RM40 in addition to some training kits. Not sure if there's any defects or whether it's rejected stock or anything of that sort but it was going for RM40 in case anyone's interested. Got myself a France kit in l which surprisingly, fit me. But hey, the warehouse sale is conducted by Adidas Malaysia themselves so if you cant trust them, I dont know what to say eh. Oh, and there's a long queue to get in because there's so many ppl. Well at least today it was so be prepared

where is the exact location .. saturday sunday still got ma ?

Can't remember the name of the hall. But's it's near the likes of Menara IBM. Coming from the toll, take the flyover up. Make a right at the Pizza Hut then drive all the way to the end. You'll know you're there when you hit the traffic jam. It's until Sunday I think. 10 am to 8pm

Coincidentally, does anyone know if I can get NN's for France jersey here?? Looking to get Evra's for that France kit I just got.

France Euro 2008?  You can get certain NNs @ ALI/R1, but none for MU players I think.  Only Henry 12, Anelka 8, Benzema 9, Ribery 22 from what I remember the last time they stocked.
*
Crap.

I suppose these are all sold in sets, so none of that RMX per letter and RMX per number i.e. n chance of me getting Evra on that kit then

Ebay is really testing my resolve at the moment. And just found last season's black kit as is the white kits with Rooney CL's numbering which is really testing my resolve. Found so many other Man United jerseys that I like i.e. the white one from 2003 or was it 2004 as well. The one with the red stripes across and looks like a rugby jersey. Furthermore it's in XXL which is the only one I found so far and is quite hard to find. Well, at least I couldn't find any.Need to start holding myself back or I'll go bankrupt. Heheh. Already spent quite an amount and that's not adding the payment that I have to make for the black kungfu Cantona kit with his name and number that I won yesterday.

I blame schmeichel7. He got me into this jersey collecting business. Hahaha.

Haha.. thanks for the compliments mate.

On serious note.. please be careful with ebay because it can be very very addictive. Use ebay for only looking for retro jerseys or jerseys that are missing in your collection. And try to use debit card instead of credit card because sooner later you might need to clear your credit card debts like myself (trying to clear them back to 0, no worries) and try to control yourself to buying only maximum 2-3 jerseys ONLY.
*
I do use a debit card. Xnak a hutang2. But have to control a bit. Going to have to go into a semi retirement until end of the month smp gaji masuk blk. Hahaha.

Can someone clear something for me though. All this time I've spent trolling on Ebay. Most of the awesome jerseys, well at least those that I find awesome comes from Hong Kong. What's the deal with that?? Is there something about Hong Kong I don't know??

Good to hear on that.. What debit card do you use? Mind to share with us? Any requirements needed when you want to apply it?

Regarding about hong kong.. yes.. most are from hong kong because hong kong is the hub for jersey distributions for this region. And also a lot of well known collectors are from hong kong and they too are bright enough to keep the old stocks from time to time and then later resell it..

Nothing to worry about, most of the items are authentic. Only thing is that they have loads of DIY stuff like DIY NNs and match details (or known as 'insigna').
*
RHB Bank. Which is tied straight to my bank A/C where I receive my paltry salary. Wasn't really any requirements, just had to fill up th eform and got it about 2 weeks later.

I see, that would explain a lot why many of the awesome Cantona jerseys are in Hong Kong.

My experience with travelling is, when you take the tags off, the customs don't really bother. You could even say you brought it along with you when you go out of the country, they have no ways of knowing. That's my experience anyways. Have never been taxed before.....so far on my travels.

But the 20 pounds for the 3rd kit is damn bloody tempting it is. Going to put it in my cart and wait till after Christmas. Who knows, the Customs situation might be better then.
