In the past Konami denied outright and most recently back in August, Konami said "probably not possible" to queries if MGS will come to xbox 360. During the TGS, Konami's spoke person, said that "The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version (of MGS4) is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to."

Konami is a third party game developer. It was easier to comprehend why there were so many exclusive titles for PS2 vs xbox. Have a look at the sales figure for the two. Now that XBOX 360 has an installed base of more than double than PS3 and if the trend continues, the gap will be bigger in months to come.

Heh! why stay exclusive to a console that sold only <>5mil when you can also port the game to another console that sold more than 10mil? Imagine Konami makes $20 out of each game sold and game is sold to 30% of xbox 360 owners. that would be like additional $60,000,000 for Konami. I still cant comprehend why not all non Sony own developers not in the xbox 360 wagon already!

meh, i dont even enjoy this game, if come, then play lo, no come no play lo. Wont wish for it. Probably i wish it would come so it can increase the sales of xbox 360 la lolz.

Ps3 got like few penauts playing all over the world while 360 are the major console of all (except wii which is for another purpose). I am not excited at all. But better don't release on Xbox360. Because 'port' the existing exclusive franchise from one console it meant to be to another has very high probability of having bad 'translation' ~bad frame rate, bad textures, glitchy, buggy. (from past experience). MGS4 has already had low res textures in the in-game environment (pls don't make it worse on X360).

Anyway, Xbox360 is already crowded with great titles. I am not that excited at all.

They care about money, screw fanboys.

And it's probable still. They still need to invite Kojima back into the project if they want to port it.

So don't keep your hopes too high.

I think less port and more remake. And much much later.

Silicon Knights made MGS: The Twin Snakes for the Gamecube and that turned out to be a pretty good redux on MSG 1.
Plus they already have experience with the 360 *coughTooHumancough*

Can't say I'm excited...never played any MGS games excluding the one on Gameboy.

Even if it does come, I don't see what the big deal is. Honestly, it was a long time coming. Every developer is going multi platform and there was an MGS game on Xbox before.

if you dont buy ori, that doesnt mean other ppl don't buy ori. and dude, the world doesnt revolve around malaysia only.

lets take gta iv as an example. the game sold 6 million copies (US$500 million) at launch day in the US alone, with 60% of sales from the xbox 360 version. that's 3.6 million copies. in the US only. let's not get into europe and the rest of the world. and 60% of US$500 million is US$300 million dude. if i was konami, i would be an idiot to not consider mgs4 for the 360. but who knows? maybe sony are paying konami US$300 million to keep them happy or maybe sony and konami are really good pals (for now).

honestly, i think its a matter of time before the era of exclusivity comes to an end. third party developers and publishers like konami are run by businessmen in suits, not nerdy fanboys. it's all about the $$$. case in point: square enix and final fantasy 13 on the xbox 360.

When I go to the PS3 forums, I often see people there bashing the 360 as if it's some pirate machine and all its users play their games off pirated DVDs. I have no idea where this generalization came from. It really saddens me that so many people think of us this way. Even my friend's bf(who has a ps3) thought I play pirated games. When I told him I play ori, he asked me "Eh, I thought malaysia 360 only got pirated one??". Yea, he's one ignorant buffoon(not just in this matter, but almost everything else as well) but it really sucks that ps3 owners talk about us this way and give us a bad image.

If this is what you are looking for. The gamercard is dynamic as well with constant update of player's activity.

Again, accusing 360 gamers as "pirate" only shows one sour grape when worldwide sales clearly shows that 360 having a very high software attach rate (8.1 in US alone) along with Wii -- as some said, a "pirate" machine which sold the most worldwide both in terms of original software & hardware, when their online capabilities are consider the weakest among 360 & ps3.

I dare not to say majority of Malaysian are playing original 360 games but I can tell you that majority of us Lowyat 360 gamers are buying the legitimate copy. Also the policy in xbox subforum is strictly "no promotion on modded console/pirated games". Things have improve alot for Malaysian compare to xbox/ps2 era considering the fact that world economy is at risk of recession...or it already is?

So next time if anyone gona accuse 360 gamer being a pirate, think again...because it will only make the few of us on the legit side feels like a very-teh-awesomeness noble person. We are not force to buy original games, it's free will.

Sonicboom, why would you 'mind very much' as this title ' Metal Gear Solid franchise' is always and always have been a playstation exclusive title all along. Would you want to see Gears of War or Halo3 which are one of the best selling xbox games on the Playstation 3.

We would be lucky if we get our hands on MGS4 on the xbox360, but dont expect too much, probably we would get them late, like the old xbox did on MGS2: Substance, a few years later after worldwide release on the playstation 2. And how can we fit 50gb or less say 25gb on a DVD9. We approximiately need 6-8 dvd9s to fit all the contents.

The best MGS still stays on Gamecube, not on any Playstation. But no harm done if it's release on 360, no matter how many discs there are (remember, the 28 or so GB are uncompressed). More people can enjoy a master piece (albeit a bit repetitive by now) if it's released on other platforms.

If you are not concern about the sales then why on earth are you concern about the possible port of MGS4 not selling well on 360 & most importantly -- the piracy issues on 360? You're the one started it! Fanboyism much? Just admit that all of these comment are coming out of jealousy/sour grape.

You know there are lots of 360 games going to ps3 also, but none of us seems to be concern or even care about its sales on ps3. If you are so worry maybe you should submit your CV to Sony. I think we are more concern on what games we can play on 360, not sales.

MGS4 graphic is nice.... but the graphic still not the best one, i mean the graphic still got the Konami "flavour/taste" like, when u saw the graphic, u will know this is make by Konami, especially the graphic texture, i only can said that MGS4 have the best graphic which developed by Konami so far but not compare with other developer which using different graphic engine.
Anyway... gameplay still play the rules....

well... for one i am looking forward to play this game, when mgs4 launch i almost purchase ps3 just because of the game alone.. lol.. but after some time the hype is just gone with the wind.. lol... if it do come to xb360 well that is good since i can get it cheaper compare to ps3... still want to play it but right now verry verry looking forward to touch GOW2

this comparison is really quite hard to say. some stated ps3's bluray faster, some say xbox360's dvd faster... perhaps just dont compare it at all and see how the things go if it really released in other consoles.


total gameplay when u mastered all the levels and knows where to go, it only takes even less than 2 hours.

so there. 360's drive is almost twice faster than blu ray. plus all HUGE UNCOMPRESSED data on the blu ray used in games. that's the Achilles heel of PS3.

i would say that PS3 is a remarkable machine. the processor and system is really good. but then again the storage system makes the machine looks bad.
