hey moogle!

they actually nerfed the heroic requirement to allow casual players or late players to be able to do heroics sooner. back then you needed to be revered to be able to purchase the heroic key. now only honored. much much easier for alts and starters..

2ndly, as a paladin, you may want to spec into prot to be accepted into 5mans and gear up. paladins are great tanks, and if you have the necessary gear (achieved enough +def, block etc) you can do heroic shattered halls with an aoe group with ease. Paladin's aoe tanking capabilities are way too great and if you play with aoe-ers like a lock+mage you pretty much clear those crazy pack of mobs in a jiffy.

3rdly, everyone starts up slow. those ppl that rejected you once had crap gears on them too. i bet they wipe in black morass countless times trying to get attuned to do karazhan. they are just being ignorant, im sure there's others who can help. if not come back to gorgonnash haha..

i remember just before i stopped WoWing, someone did recall "i wish we still have that female paladin that always did GKPs.. her name was moogle something and damn those were ezmode runs and didnt cost much!".. this was just when guilds like Eternity and some other that dominated the pve progression and were hosting GKPs that started with a minimum bid of 1000g per epic. the zul aman bear mount went as high as 6000g. so they were QQing about how expensive it was and wished u were back to host the GKPs haha =p..

perhaps you can try to apply to these few asian guilds in gorgonnash. Sanctuary Guardians and Angel of Twilights. Casual guilds, does some pvping and pveing and loadsa crap chats in guild.

if ure still planning on gearing up, just pvp to get the easy to achieve pvp gears. they are on cheap honor atm and u get quality gears without raiding.

just go to alterac valley and get some honor, do the BG daily quests for gold and honor. grind some rep that suits your professions. most important rep i think any starter should complete is either the aldor/scryer rep. they give decent blue as well as the very much needed shoulder enchants. prot pallies are pretty damn valueble as their AOE tanking capabilities are sooooo strong, people rather choose a prot pally to do heroics as they want a clean fast run and get the badges. shattered halls pally tank = ownage. the stronger your gear, the more mobs you can pull and quicker your heroics will be.

alternatively, join the bg weekends to get even more honor. at least you are starting somewhere and for melee classes the utmost important gear is your weapon. a nice 2hander is a big dmg boost and work yourself up from there. since you can craft from blacksmithing, im sure you can gather the mats to make some nice 2h-maces for yourself or even epic armours.

what you need to do now is to prepare yourself for wrath. gear up with some decent looking gear so that you will have an easier time leveling at lich king. when lich king goes live, whatever tier6 u have obtained or season4 u have now will be a total reset at lvl 80 and another bunch of new gears and rep to be grinded all over again...

its a pity u started late, if you started 2 month earlier, doing 2s or 3s arena just to hit 10games a week you can be somewhat 4/5 in resilience gear. getting the 5th piece and weapons are just a matter of being good to get the rating or buy the rating for a week. do u remember geromith? he's decked in full resilience gear, and all he does is casual pvp the moment he hit 70. still rocking in gorgonnash =p
