QUOTE(luvjim @ Dec 21 2008, 08:57 PM)

how did u shoot this.. what's the subject??
*
the light at the back is just a few LED xmas lights.....as u see i posted a few diff bokeh shape pictures..basically..i took a paper..and cut the shape out...and put it infront of my lens..some sort like a customized filter...and ur bokeh shape would automatically change according to the filter shape...

let me know if its nt clear.i can show u 1@2 pictures of the thing itself =)

50 mm

f/2

hope have constructive comments from sifu2 here...  biggrin.gif
*
if its me..probably i wont make the framing so tight...i would try to make the full head of the kid inside the frame(including the hair)..but well..tis is jsut me =p
and den....when i started taking pictures of kids...those shifus always remind me..keep ur view at the eye level(or height) of the kid..sometimes high angle shot creates some sort of 'distance' feel...but well..i guess this is just a recommendation from the 'rules'...but rules r meant to b broken to show ur creativity biggrin.gif

well..im stil far from being a 'shifu' yet...just to drop a few comments perhaps u can consider bout it =)

@pad
nice dragonfly yet again =) probably i would start my macro journey during the cny holliday =p

hi epito...all i did was take 2 shots with my camera mount of my gorilla pod...one shot i was drying my hair..and another shot i was really shaving infront of my mirror...the background for both of the shot was exactly the same due to tripod..and den i put this 2 pics as 2 diff layers in photoshop..and use layer mask on one of them =)

soft focus wannabe ? biggrin.gif
nice , really.

haha..i purposely add another layer of gaussian blurred image.... somehow the girls prefer their photos to b edited that way...they said they like the color and the softness..it feels more 'dreamy' to them doh.gif so i cant do anything but to do according to their preference..lol

hei i read dis somwhere, izit bulb setting then play wit a torchlite or somthing?
*
its called light painting..
u can set it to bulb or long exposure time(10~20s shutter speed) depend on how complex is ur 'painting' or rather..how long u need to complete it...and den using a light source to draw in the air infront of ur camera =)
