tongue.gif this was shot before sunset. Sb-600 on cam. and the shadow maybe becuz of 1/60s shutter speed not fast enuff i guess tongue.gif. it seems to be on all of my flippy photos from that day. so basically it's just backlighting and super harsh on cam flash set on 70mm manual zoom at 1/16 biggrin.gif the AWB really failed. all of the photos have different color tint haha!!

It depends on the God. tongue.gif

Dry weather, clean air and a little bit of luck I guess. wink.gif

Small aperture helps as it doesn't blur out the background for it has greater DOF. smile.gif

And there's some pp I did.. playing with color warm and saturation on the RAW image file.

Camera sensor doesn't work like human visual sensor (eyes).

You need to pick which subject you want to be properly exposed and leave other over/under-exposed.

You can't have both extreme 2 ends to look nice in a single shoot. You can however get that through HDR processing. smile.gif

Of cause there'll be some tools and technique other than HDR to get the exposure you want, like using a GND filter or by adjusting the "level" and "curve" of the photo.

The human eye has a higher dynamic range than the camera sensor.
Moreover the human eye is extremely adaptive, it reacts to tiny changes instantaneously so you'll always see the "best" image nod.gif
Like da3shou3 said, you can achieve higher dynamic range by utilizing a GND filter, but the GND cant be used for All occasions. The GND has a specific pattern in which only certain scenes and landscapes can fit properly.
Or you could go HDR brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif
