oh.. im so lucky to find this thread.
I also would like to know how to RMA Gigabyte Mobo as my Mobo already 1 year+,
My Mobo having problem 2nd times, the built in VGA output display nothing.
The 1st time I claim thru with the shop i bought, but the shop say they will charge me rm30 after 1year if wanna claim warranty.. so i would try to send to distributor myself, less hassle than goto lowyat with traffic jam + petrol + carpark + that RM30..

So, did they perform a check at the first place? or they just take it without test?

If claim thru shop i think most of them will check the problem 1st before taking out the Mobo from your cpu.
My 1st claim also same with you that LAN spoil, then I purchase the Lan card. but problem still exist, the Lan card sometime cant be detected. then no more display then no choice have to take to the shop..
claim thru shop usually have to wait for 3 week.

If your problem is only LAN port I suggest you just buy a LAN card, only RM20+ and doesnt have to wait for RMA.

Added on October 22, 2008, 6:49 pmwhen I claim thru the shop I don't have to bring anything include receipt or warranty card..(some shop need the receipt)
they verified the Mobo from their shop's sticker they stick on the Mobo..

Anyway I would like to know how to claim warranty thru distributor..Anyone can help?
