Hello there, I would like to ask the procedure to send the Gigabyte motherboard for an RMA.

1) Is there any RMA online form involve?

2) Should I pack it like HDD RMA? Wrapping with polysterine?

3) Should I bring the complete package (Eg: Cable, CD)? Box?

4) Should I bring the receipt?

5) From what I've read in another topic, there's a sticker behind the mobo that should refer to some of the distributor company? So, can I directly go there without sending it to shop I bought?

6) Did it take time? Will they perform a complete check in front of you or just pass it to the person incharge, get the receive stamp, go back and wait for the reply like Seagate RMA process? drool.gif

Thank you .. notworthy.gif

I still wondering if will they accept if only the LAN port have been fried (black spot) or they will accept it first, try to refix first, and sent it back if they couldn't make it? or they will reject it at the first place?

To make it easy, how do the procedure works?

1) What the shop will do?

a) Bring the receipt and the mobo .
b) Next, .......

2) What the distributor will do?

oh.. im so lucky to find this thread.
I also would like to know how to RMA Gigabyte Mobo as my Mobo already 1 year+,
My Mobo having problem 2nd times, the built in VGA output display nothing.
The 1st time I claim thru with the shop i bought, but the shop say they will charge me rm30 after 1year if wanna claim warranty.. so i would try to send to distributor myself, less hassle than goto lowyat with traffic jam + petrol + carpark + that RM30..

So, did they perform a check at the first place? or they just take it without test?
