Is Xterra (in Kuantan) something like Tri? I know someone who just signed up.

Swimming, Mountain biking, Trail run.

So, you can see it as the "offroad" Tri.

They are on FB. Check them out

I only had Revive after Orange Run yesterday. The place was too crowded.

Good people,

I'm registered for the marathon. But I'm down with flu (seasonal ya, not the H1N1) due to the haze and still on medication. If I don't recover by Saturday, I thought of giving up my number. Even if I recover, it would still considered like suicidal because I didn't train at all this month (last run was NB 15km). But I'd still want to go for the sake of participating. Finish or not another story.

If I were to give up my number, I still need to pick it up first right? Because the confirmation slip bears my name. Or can I just give the confirmation slip to the interested party?

good to hear (everybody?) enjoyed the run..

I'm not!

Very bad organization.

This is my first full marathon and I'm scarred. I'm even contemplating to quit running for good.

I'm a late finisher. And I can't even prove it to family and friends sad.gif

MF - at least you only 'chau karn' like very close to Finishing Line....well done.....how is Syd G doing?

I heard no water and police assistance (to clear traffic for runners) liao...after like the 6hours......
*
You heard right. Might as well they pluck us from the road and stop us from continue running.

Is it all about winning? Where's the fun spirit? No wonder there is not so much takers for marathon in Malaysia.

Ha am here am here. I did a 7 hour epic marathon. Yay RM10 from tengster biggrin.gif

8) I finished the race STRONG - I gave everything I could, stayed positive and gave The Hubby a big bear hug after crossing the finish line. Limped to the bag station and - (I guess this took the cake) - I arrived and they were out of medals. Finisher tshirt only XL size........ when the runners were expressing their disappointments, I just had to shout out "FTAAA is better!" tongue.gif

---

You see, ladies and gentlemen. If you have quad cramps, you can still walk.. calves, not so much. I cant walk now, btw sad.gif . No medal, crappy tee that I may send to tailor to get it refit. Will I run a marathon again? Yes. This time I'll bring water bottles, own muscle rub, own banana, own PowerGel....
*
You must be there at the tent with me as well.

QUOTE(smallbug @ Jun 28 2009, 11:16 PM)
Sorry to hear that hanjo.. 1 thing I can't stand, is the lack of water stations.. for an event of this magnitude, quite disappointing, even though I did not run..
*
Well.. not having stations (they tapau-ed the trace of it) is one thing. Having it but only with emptied bottles is far heart breaking.

U encountered empty bottles @ which station? Mine was.. I think 25k, near convention centre
*
KLCC @ 22.5k and KLCCC @ 25k - Emptied bottles. If it was a tad earlier, I would have drank from the Convention Centre's fountain.

20k, 27.5k, 30k, 32.5k, 35k, 39.5k - Stations gone. Go figure!

Why I am so bising? Well.. I am not a serious runner like most members in this thread. You guys are fast and furious. I was in it just for fun and to challenge myself. Therefore, I was hoping for fun and excitement. You know, like doing "it" for the first time. But I didn't get that.

Someone commented that Larian Amal Seri Sinar's medal is so much nicer than SCKLM one.. I agree biggrin.gif They even had medals for 5k runners.

I like GE 30k 2009 finisher's tshirt.. can wear @ the gym or during running... I prolly wear my SCKLM XL tshirt to sleep or clean the house or something.

Haih.. spoil memories for first marathon onli sad.gif

I try to move on and not to think about this anymore. Tapi tak boleh. Around the web, petrols are being poured onto the fire heheh...

BTW, Syd, did you accidently walked in front of the tourist who were taking picture of Bangunan Abdul Samad? There were a few people (me included) who can't take detour anymore. Just walked straight.

@ ccube
How to write into that page?

Guys,

Know where I can get a number belt? I've checked with ccube. Just need to know if it is available in retail elsewhere in case I got disconnected with ccube. Need to purchase one by Friday.
