I am planning to get a pair of running shoes and I have a few open options..
What brand is most suitable for running?
asics, new balance nike or adidas?
or is it up to the runner?
there has to be some difference right?
thanks

QUOTE(phoenix @ Jul 5 2009, 11:12 AM) Yes, do post running related matters in the Runnerz thread as many including myself are seasoned runners. i visited. sadly, they're over my budget. =.=In the meantime, do visit my online store at http://store-runnerzcircle.blogspot.com. I am a dealer of various running procucts and ASICS is one of them. The price displayed are of retail price and there is a further reduction to it. i'm just looking for a shoe that can satisfy my comfort and running needs. something basic and lasting. considering lower budget new balance or asics |

no i have not done any of those test. so far I only know of adidas providing test such as that, but i do not want to go in just for the test, and not buy their shoe.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Please suggest which shoe suits me.. If it helps, I was standing with my feet at a V position. I'm about 6 feet shoe size usually around 10 for light running, comfort is most important, next to weight of the shoe. if possible those with good soles, to reduce pressure when my feet lands.. I am a bit noob with this. what I have said so far may be useless but I don't really know. ps. is it true that getting 1 size bigger is better? or that only applies to marathoners? sorry for the trouble and thanks for your help guys. |

QUOTE(ccube @ Jul 7 2009, 07:50 PM) ur left foot is normal but ur right one is almost flat footed. to be on the save side, choose a neutral cushioning shoe with mild to moderate medial support. As for the size of the shoe, its not necessary to get one size larger (except that if u really like to wear very thick socks). Just make sure u have one thumb space at the toebox and then your index finger can slot into the back of shoe w/o forcing it in (when u push ur feet all to the front) hey ccube i went to your website, I couldn't find the omni7 you mentioned. most brands have such model which i mentioned. if u r looking at Saucony, then i will recommend the Omni 7. selling at RM275 (after 40% discount) jazz12 looks pretty decent, but is there different model perhaps? somewhere along the price range.. i want to weigh some options if its not too much trouble. thanks |

QUOTE(ccube @ Jul 8 2009, 09:03 AM) the Jazz12 is ok too if u dont over-pronate too much. i recommend Omni 7 was bcos, ur right foot was a bit of flat footed. this is to compensate it in case u overpronates. The next option will be the Triumph 5 (RM300) - neutral cushioning or the Hurricane 10 (RM320) cushion + stability. so the option for me is only jazz12 or omni7.. the rest is over my budget. i will consider among these two if nothing else comes up.Omni 7 http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7415932/c/744.html |
