Larian Bomba tshirt this year is a tad nicer than usual FTAAA tshirts. There arent a lot of runners registered for the event, most prolly lack of promotion

Hey I've been wanting to ask about recovery.
After NB15k, I could run sprints the day after it sap sap sui. But the sprints made my kaki ache for 3 days. I sapu CounterPain with lots of deep tissue massage, it went away for a day. I tried running the day after that and they all came back with a vengeance. I want to take Ponstan as painkillers but I'm aware of the side-effects. I'm thinking of experimenting with icing and contrast baths. How do u guys recover from runs? |

QUOTE(d3vilzzzz @ May 22 2009, 02:56 PM) Aiyor sista y u run sprints the day after? 6min per km is slow ah Norm is run recovery runs of short distances or run distances at a real slow place; can also check via ur bpm making sure ur in zone 1 and sometimes these recovery runs are done either the next day after the event or 1 day holiday after event then recovery run.. For me self, after events i sometimes dun run the day after before resuming norm training at norm pace or run real slow paced run.. After NB15 I did a real slow 6km run on Monday; 6min per km.. Tuesday baru resume training.. Your sprint run intense ke? coz me do sprints as part of speed training.. My sprint was intervals @12.5km/h. Quite intense cause my normal runs only 7.5-8km/h. I was doing sprint intervals cause I missed them the previous week (stupid reason, I know). I ran again today and I was running around 8km/h. Felt quite comfortable so it's all good |
