workmanship is important as well, be careful in selecting the cheapest quote given to you. i cant really comment on the price given, but my advise is you have a look at his past work to see how is his work. would be better if you know someone who has actually has his house done by him

Dude most of the charges are freaking expensive... rclxub.gif

Esp. the paint job you should only be paying half or less for the paint job.

It’s hard to gauge prices between 2 different because different contractors might go about doing the same things differently and with different materials.

Furthermore it’s an unregulated business so buyer beware...

My advice is get a quote with a bill of materials (so you wont get a BOMB afterwards), then contact the contractors past customers to discover their pain points and judge the workmanship and quality of work for yourself.

Juz stop any bangla you see on the road or go to construction yard...deal with the supervisor or in Penang, you can find them congregating at Komtar. Or you can interogate your indon maid....she'll crack under pressure brows.gif

But seriously, if any of you want to DIY, do at least hire a qualified painter as paint job is suppose to last you for >10 years. thumbup.gif
