Didn't like "Beautiful World". Just didn't feel EVA to me. And Utada's overrated.

i do agree utada's overrated, however theres just something from this song that got me really hooked up.

as for the eva feel, imo it would be more of a "modern eva" sorta feel, but if you compared it to the old classic eva music definitely it wont match. but then again im not really into those sorta tunes anymore, feels old

listen to the new 2007 fly me to the moon mix and compare it to the classic one. pretty much that.

Well EVA has always been brooding and melancholic....so the old Fly Me To THe Moon suited the mood well. Not sure how the new one sounds like so can't really comment.

But that's my point. EVA songs should sound like they were sang by Evanescence (pun not intended) , not some poppy "feel-good" music like Beautiful World.

as for evanesence, no lol the whole rock (minorly gothic, or actually just plain metal/gothic for a majority of their songs) theme just dont fit it AT ALL. even the slows ones/non-rock ones (AFAIK only... 1-2 songs?) just didnt have that "feel"
lyrics perhaps, or maybe a "its not nippon" thing.

Claire + Fly Me to the Moon = best adaptation ever. Even better than the original one by Sinatra. It was melancholic, sad, but upbeat and jazzy. This song is on all of my playlist :D

Ok...maybe not Evanescence...maybe just Amy Lee.

Claire sung it for her album and was picked up by Anno for teh ED. Anno had nothign to do with the song being melancholic
