Have you tried exercising?
Surgery is not the solution if you don't fix the cause, you'll eventually get it back. |

what a mouthful medical name ...
anyway have you consult your doctor first? this is not an operation where one can simply go one. must have doctor approval if i not mistaken. can refer here for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gynecomastia |

QUOTE(King83 @ Oct 7 2008, 11:01 AM) Have you tried exercising? If I am not wrong, surgery is the only way to fix that problem. Gynaecomastia is where u have breast tissue built in your chest. The breast tissue are not like fats that it could be burnt off easily.Surgery is not the solution if you don't fix the cause, you'll eventually get it back. According to my doctor, many understand gynaecomastia wrongly, most of the guys are just having some fats around chest area which can be burn off by exercising like what king83 suggested. However, the real gynaecomastia requires one to undergo a surgery to properly remove that tissue underneath the chest...the other method is to build up your upper chest muscle to create an illusion... if u think u have this sickness, consult ur endocrinologist |

Gynecomastia means u're fat. Hormonal imbalance ? Very unlikely. |

Surgery is not really necessary as in itself, it isn't harmful.

QUOTE(King83 @ Oct 7 2008, 03:08 PM) in the first place breast tissue forms due to prolonged moobs isn't it? There are several causes actually, which we don't need to discuss. People don't need to be fat to get it.and moobs comes from being fat (very likely)... dunno, read it somewhere, and i'm too lazy to source it so if you guys wanna, feel free to correct it. Another thing is that, for the fat guys who have it, exercise doesn't necessarily get rid of it. That's where medications and surgery come in. You can say exercise first, get in shape and all that then get the surgery after, but it's kinda embarrassing to have a pair of boobs bouncing around as you work out. Guys who are fat, out of shape and have boobs generally are going to have self-esteem issues related to that, so removing the problem can improve confidence which would help them with working out. That's just my opinion, since I never had the problem, I'm just guessing. YMMV. |

Not kidding but if only the excess tissue can be donated to some female with naturally flat chest or another option for those who would like to opt for breast augmentation but shy away from the dangerous silicone implant or saline implant. Somehow, there's always rejection problem with a donated part.
My breast also a lil on the protruding side which I believe it's fat and hormone problem...hahahaha... |

there are so many underlying causes of the gynecomastia. Drug usage? Hormonal problem? liver problem? Renal problem? or Old age (which no need for a cure for it)
I will be surprise if the doctor didnt run a more detailed investigation on the cause. Treat the underlying cause 1st or it will recur even after surgery This post has been edited by ivzh: Oct 7 2008, 05:02 PM |

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Oct 7 2008, 08:40 PM) Do people DEVELOP gyne or is it just something they're born with?? Kinda nice reading material there. Oozing of milk from your breasts is scary.I found an article to that too http://www.ricksilverman.com/gyno_faqs.html I'm gonna read it now. Still, how do you differentiate gynecosmatia from normal fat tissues in your breasts? |

I'm no gynecomastia expert as you can see earlier,
but i have read that it bcomes breast tissue if u've had it for a long time. So if u had it since u were a kid, chances are exercising alone won't work. And i know there are many causes to gynecomastia but i can't point this enough, in most cases, people get them bcos they are just simply too fat !!! let me know if u got any other findings/leads This post has been edited by King83: Oct 7 2008, 09:22 PM |

![]() this show breast tissue and fat is totally different.. the breast tissue here mean the gland that produce milk (lobes), the duct that allow of the passage of the milk, and the exit for the milk (nipple) And what different between female and male breast is female breast tissue is Well-developed, while male one is atrophy. However both do have the wgat so call breast tissue. Gyenecosmastia is "breast in male", not only structural change but may also functional (milk production in severe case) So, anything can cause the breast tissue in male become "active" and "productive" is worthwhile to investigate it's underlying cause. |
