there are so many underlying causes of the gynecomastia. Drug usage? Hormonal problem? liver problem? Renal problem? or Old age (which no need for a cure for it)
I will be surprise if the doctor didnt run a more detailed investigation on the cause. Treat the underlying cause 1st or it will recur even after surgery

this show breast tissue and fat is totally different.. the breast tissue here mean the gland that produce milk (lobes), the duct that allow of the passage of the milk, and the exit for the milk (nipple) And what different between female and male breast is female breast tissue is Well-developed, while male one is atrophy. However both do have the wgat so call breast tissue. Gyenecosmastia is "breast in male", not only structural change but may also functional (milk production in severe case) So, anything can cause the breast tissue in male become "active" and "productive" is worthwhile to investigate it's underlying cause.
