Perfect Score for Wall•E

Blu-ray.com

"Wall-E is the kind of movie that has the power to touch even the most cynical soul. It’s a rare treat of a film that inspires and takes one’s breath away with its almost effortlessly astounding storytelling. Wall-E is a film for all ages that has the potential to entertain every member of the family and isn’t limited as entertainment for children. Pixar has done a remarkable job with this stunning Blu-ray package. The movie’s video presentation is truly reference grade and will remain a standard as demonstration material for years to come. The audio presentation is equally exceptional and creates a palpable sense of atmosphere and immersion. Supplements are also robust and the set’s many in-depth and entertaining documentaries will provide hours of entertainment beyond the film itself. Wall-E is a must-own title on Blu-ray and deserves a place in every Blu-ray collection. In fact, this is a film that is destined to sell more than a few Blu-ray players. Wall-E easily earns my highest recommendation. "

HighDefDigest.com

"'Wall•E' is a wonderful film. It's majestic, emotional, thought-provoking, and wildly imaginative. It's also quite a risk for Pixar, as it mingles existential mediations on human existence with the lightness and whimsy the studio is so well known for, and it all pays off. This Blu-ray is a stunner, too, with five stars across the board for video and audio. Throw in a Digital Copy of the film on a third disc and a host of supplemental and exclusive content, and you have a new reference-standard Blu-ray. This is a must-own."

It will be quite a hassle to travel all the way there. Even though the petrol price has gone down, the toll and time still count a lot doh.gif

Hope Starscream did an excellent job in evading them wink.gif

Tested Kung Fu Panda last night. 5 stars PQ/AQ. I'm quite impressed with Dolby TrueHD lately, really top-notch. thumbup.gif

Also got trailer for "Monsters vs Aliens", looks to be really funny. biggrin.gif

Here's a littel story that had me worried for a while last night.

To start Kung FU Panda, it takes forever to load on my PS3. It happened before with Iron Man. So I tested with an old title, it plays almost instantly. Tested again with Kung Fu Panda, same problem again. sweat.gif

Had me worried that the lens was dying. Then I remember the difference between these new discs and old ones, BD-Live. I go back to settings and turn off BD internet connection to "Comfirm" instead of "Allow". Inserts Kung Fu Panda again, PS3 asks for internet, I chose no and then voilà! The disc starts almost instantly! thumbup.gif

It was my internet connection problem! doh.gif

I notice lately there was quite frequent that PS3 disconnects from the internet. Is it because of the firmware? The connection on my laptop was very stable. hmm.gif

I also never watch extras or BD-Live. But my PS3 always connected to the internet, my wireless router is on 24/7.

Lazy to turn off connection on the PS3 because sometimes I copy big files, more than 4GB, from my laptop to the PC using the LAN.

haha who say im not getting one for the home? hehe just that i prefer home to be for home theater as equipments for a proper HiFi home system setup would take too much space as it is not suitable for movies.. and not forgetting that musical speakers is not suitable for movie use.. haha i dont want to end up with so much boxes in my room.. lol and besides.. i really like the idea of bringing high quality music around with me... srsly u should try! haha

think about it.. u spend all that money on ur home set.. but then with our schedule, how much time do we really spend at home? and in our theater room? mine is less than 4hrs a day (accept on weekends). im mostly outside.. kinda waste money if i think about it..

now with my portables - i have my headphones on now and im at work.. get in car also with headphones on.. music follows me wherever i go.. reach home, turn on Blurays and enjoy a nice movie.. go out with my music on me again... seriously... this is awesome.. haha
