Quite a unique model. Also known as 童夢-零, it was a concept car exhibited at the 48th Geneva Auto Show but the car was never produced. Suppose to be at a whopping retail price of 4,000,000 Yen

Pixar Cars fans alert: This trailer was released recently and going for about 3000 Yen. If I translate correctly, it houses up to 4 vehicles and have a button release to catch the trailer cover.

Okay last one before zZz... finally stick em' up those stickers. Initial on I thought the model wasn't well moulded due to child safety concerns. With the decals now added it didn't turn out too bad did it?

A sports car made by De Tomaso, an Italian marque. The 1974 Pantera GTS was the luxury edition of the Pantera which in Italian means "Panther"; and featured more luxury items and badging with it. Tomica Limited is again superb, even the wheel rims match to a T

This car needs no introduction but the meaning of Countach is interesting..
QUOTE The word countach is an exclamation of astonishment in the local Piedmontese language - generally used by men on seeing an extremely beautiful woman. While the term is often considered untranslatable into English, it is essentially equivalent to the British lager lout verbalization "Fwwaaaa". Or, it can also be considered the verbal equivalent of a wolf-whistle (from Wiki) 0031-Lamborghini Countach LP500S ![]() Lamborghini Countach LP500S Shown ![]() |

May I suggest collectors here to take it offline. Create among yourselves a trusted list of personnel - which not only seeks to inform stock arrival, stock availability, helping each other to look out and purchase (due to greater distances in M'sia) & make group orders, but more importantly reduce the effectiveness of scalpers which certainly abound
The key word is trusted personnel only - preferably someone you have met in person and know about for some time. Me 2 cents. |

A cute car - the Honda Vamos is a microvan produced by Japanese automaker Honda from 1970 to 1973 sporting only just 360cc. Here is an interesting CLIP on the folding down of the canvass of the car. The more I compare real life and TL rims, the more I think much thoughts and efforts had gone into the production of Tomica Limited cars.. kudos!

The Lotus Europa or Lotus Europe was a two door mid-engined GT coupé built by Lotus Cars from 1966 to 1975. The Special was the enhanced Europa Twin Cam project where Lotus switched to a 126 hp (94 kW) aspirated by Dell'Orto/Weber carburettors version of the same engine; in addition to offering a new Renault 5-speed (Type 365) gearbox option. It weighed 740 kg (1631 lb), had a top speed of 123 mph (198 km/h), did 0–60 mph in 7.0 seconds (from Wiki)

The models released are mostly 1950s and 1960s classic Japanese vehicles like Nissan Cedric, Prince Gloria and Toyopet Crown and of very high details even when compared to the Tomica Limited models. A rather popular and populous model, launched in 1958 till 1970, the Subaru 360 sold about 500,000 units. Designed to exploit tax and insurance regulations and exempted from certification that adequate parking was available for the vehicle, it was thus made at 360cc and to fall into the Japanese "keicar" category.
In Japan the 360 was nick-named 'the ladybird' because of its shape. 0016-Subaru 360 ![]() Subaru 360 Shown ![]() |

Guyy: Not really cause you can find them at lower than 1000 Yen a piece. The normal list price from Tomytec is 1260 Yen for a common model and thus not that expensive comparatively with TLs. How about buying a couple to see for yourself their worthiness?
QUOTE(Guyy @ Oct 17 2008, 09:51 AM) wow Percivale those Tomytec stuff expensive man, i've seen some selling at RM49.90 each here, great vintage though Added on October 17, 2008, 10:18 amLoon: Yes was about to bring in the topic of collection display and maintenance but now that you mentioned, for me I've kept all my Tomicas in plastic covers - they come in 3 sizes. Do you know there is also a NEO Series within the TLVs, which I loosely translate to mean popular cars made from 1970s and after. So "NEO" here would be post-generation or "NEW" in this sense. It was not mentioned, but I gather this model is a Legacy RS Turbo - the air scoop would be a big clue on the turbo
