im new to phpbb 3. I've created a normal forum and plan to implant the BUMP icon like lowyat does.

How to do it? please teach me. Thanks!

lu boh choi wah. anyway, besides the icon, you need to know the function to make it go BUMP.

how familiar are you or your contacts with PHP and MySQL?

in my opinion.. its better for u to ask the question at phpbb support forum.

if you guys could ask help on how to CSS or create spoiler and all, how is his question any different?

please understand that this is the "Blogmasters & Webmasters" and his question is 100% related to being a webmaster, thus being appropriate.

and khairolnizam didn't say it's isn't quite the appropriate forum, he said it is BETTER to ask at PHPBB forum as they're more experienced.

they might already have addons or hacks for the bumps.

That's why I say isn't quite appropriate.
His question is about coding stuff and don't you think it will be better for him to search at the PHPBB forum as people over there are more experienced on this coding stuff?

he can ask on phpBB forum from the people there for help as they have more experience but that doesn't mean his thread here is in anyway "isn't quite appropriate".

if we go based on your logic, then the questions on editing blogspot, wordpress, css and everything else would be "isn't quite appropriate" as well, after all Wordpress has their own section, Blogspot has their own support, and CSS has more dedicated web forums to handle.

now no more argument on this already as his thread is perfectly fine, your judgment was incorrect. end of story.

as long as it is WEBMASTER related, it's fine here.
