Beta WoW Boleh Ping Service (Free Trials)This service works on the same principles as Gamepath and Lowerping. Please refer to here for help on finding a good IP range for WoW. We are looking for testers for this (no payment required). Please post your interest and support of such a service. We are now using a local datacentre which should give more consistent pings to the US servers regardless of where your WoW server is located. Reuben, majority of us are now located on the Oceanic Servers which are mostly located in LA, not Dallas.
There are still some players who are still playing on the US servers but not so much anymore and they eventually ended up moving to the Oceanic Servers.

Yes I am aware of that I made a mistake in choosing the first server as it had the lowest pings to malaysia (230 ms) without realizing pings within US itself could add so much to the latency! However would anyone be interested in testing this first?

Well, I'm already on a private SSH, but I'll help test it out for feedback if you want.

Alright here are some results from server's i ran based on the 118.101.* range, will test it out with 118.100 and 124.13.* laters
Gorgonnash - 459 - 694ms (peaked) an avg of 590ms Wildhammer 355 - 733ms (peaked) an avg of 540ms Thaurissan - 298 - 432ms (peaked) an avg of 380ms Kargath - 406 - 689ms (peaked) an avg of 600ms
Reuben, these test are runned from the 202.* server, it was kinda laggy on the 69.* but will do it later as it's raining over here.

Yeah that Streamyx IP range kinda sucks...U can't get a 60.x range?

Getting 220-290ms, typical good SSH tunnel ping. However I'm getting a -lot- of random dropouts where pinging shows 3/4 packet loss and WoW completely disconnects.

So far no dropouts or packet losses on my side.

Tested out on the 118.100.* tonight and i must say it's fairly stable on Thaurissan as i was able to get an avg of 400-490ms (i get nearly 900-1.4k and sometimes skyshoot it's way to 4kms without bolehping) Gorgonnash - 480 - 680 (peaked) an avg of 600+ms Again, I must say that the best IP i get to play WoW with is with 118.101.* IP range (without bolehping) and 118.100.* is playable only with bolehping and i am yet to test it out with 124.13.*

Hi, Just tried the Dallas server for Whisperwind (US). Not sure if I did anything wrong, but I am getting a lag of 2500ms. Direct route only 1500ms. On another service, I am getting only about 300ms stable. I am on the 118.100.* range. Attached trace to the Dallas server. Seems ok though. Not sure what I could be doing wrong. Was using ProxyCap to connect. Will try SOcksCap and see. I stopped using Sockcap previously coz it was giving me huge lags in BG and Raids. Proxycap seem to solve that for me. WIll try somemore and feedback. Regards Attached thumbnail(s)

Yeah I did. Sockscap is better. Hovering around 600, but shooting up to 1000 occasionally. Not sure why though. QUOTE(Reuben @ Oct 6 2008, 12:07 AM) did u remember to set the tunnel in putty? connections ssh tunnel D1080

Seems much more stable today, sub-300's. The Dallas server gives 500-600 (as expected). Only one random dc the entire time.
