wat's the diff between polarised n non-polarized?
thanks.
Hi, sorry for the late reply.
Sorry for the late reply. Actually, most ladies' pairs fit within your budget of RM500. I'd say for ladies go for something lighter (ladies tend to like lens that can still see their eyes from the outside). For driving you'll need something dark but not the darkest, so I'd recommend you lenses such as Grey Gradient (stylish), Bronze or at most Warm Grey (quite dark). For the frame styling and colour it would be up to personal taste as well as your facial features.
Polarised lens refer to an additional layer of filters built-in into the lens. This extra layer provides filtration against stray light wavelengths, such as glare from water and glass. This is most useful perhaps during fishing trips or beach outings. Downside to polarised lens is of course the higher price tag, and slight distortion in certain conditions, especially when looing at glass with filters. This is especially true when looking at other cars' windshields during driving. Resultant effect is what I like to describe as the "rainbow effect", where you'll see some funky patterns appearing on tinted glass. Some people are especially irritated with it, while others don't seem to mind. The fact remains that its there

However, Polarity should not be confused with light intensity or protection. All Oakley lenses come with full UV range protection (they better be

) such as UVa, b, c.... Polarised also doesnt mean darker, there are many Polarised lenses that are actually lighter than non-polarised lenses. Majority of Oakleys as far as I've sold are non-polarised, due to the reasons above
Sorry for the long message, hope it helps!
Cheers!
