thx for ur clarification. btw, la salle quite near to my secondary school ^^ high end racquet doesnt vibrate?? tantrum 200 really that stiff?? 1 seller called arc rate it as medium stiff... i think i can swing my racquet fast enough
*
let's say high end racket, their frames are more stable
arc tried a lot of rackets so his opinion might be a little bit different hahaha
but tantrum200 is definitely stiffer than the clone nano900power
should be stiffer than most of the VH series too

VH is a bit light head right?? I already used light head racquet, feel like want to change to balance 1, that's y i choose tantrum 200. somemore i read quite a lot of positive review on it
*
VH series are attacking racket. they are slightly head heavy. tantrum is slightly head heavy too, same bp with vh

QUOTE(Omage007 @ Jun 14 2010, 07:29 PM)
BTW Apacs VH1800 no more in production, and replaced by the VH2000, right? then VH1800 and VH2000 got what difference?
*
the diff should not be big..maybe better technology

where can i find lead tape/athletic tape ?

anyone here use it on the racket's frame ? hmm.gif
*
athletic tape should be easily found in pharmacies..
lead tape, hardware store?

i saw someone selling athletic tape in the Street Mart section
can make a search perhaps?

QUOTE(chiller @ Jun 25 2010, 12:25 PM)
so it becomes head heavy, more attack force ! Can be bought in tennis pro shop. Stick onto handle makes head lighter, but increase the whole racket weight. If lead tape is heavy burden, try hockey white tape, copy LD's AT700 style.

Any further details im not very well into, we could seek our dear Badminton IT-Guru advice, Mr.Ziggy

QUOTE(chiller @ Jul 1 2010, 03:33 PM)
3U net weight of racket is 85-89gm*
4U net weight of racket is 82-84gm*
5U net weight of racket is 78-81gm*              (* approx)

add the string (3-5gm) & grip (2-8gm), you do the math.

General, 4U is user-friendly. 3U is little demand unless  flex.gif arm&wrist power are born within

Tension wise, you could scroll back page(s) to get some idea. Ziggy the Guru wrote some Facts there.

QUOTE(chiller @ Jul 2 2010, 02:18 PM)
Ok la, Ziggy. Pardon me to tease you so badly, haha. You seems very informative & supportive in giving advices around frequently. I tabih you ler.

No wonder, T200 is super stiff shaft & head heavy. If high tension, arm will sore if not much power to hit. Its like "A moderate driver pushing a BMW is nice in view, but heck of energy being used"

Heavy is nice to use as in "solidity" feel, could it lasts you till 4-6th game without tiring off easily? thats a test.

CalvinSeak, your arm power so strong, wielding the LD racket sure no problem. But Fantasia isnt you mah.

Omage007, nice seeing you around. Im doing fine with Prince racket, its weight, mid-flex shaft, slight head heavy (another is even-balanced) are working well on me.

ziggy uses RSL Shiny Laser 9900 in 3U weight. Smashing pretty hard, & charming too. Need not to afraid of den.

Believe me, 2U isnt good for leisure player. It taxes energy.
*
being informative and giving the right info are 2 VERY different things lol..

t200 is not very head heavy. just slightly. but really very stiff haha

4-6 games with 2u..sounds pro hahahahaha

calvin very strong oh..his smashing very hard to def. lucky not playing plastic birdies with him..if not i might get bruises everywhere XD

how u noe wat i'm using? stalkerrrr..lolz! kidding bro..i dun qualify to have a stalker
smashing pretty NOT hard and charming??? *scratch head* rolleyes.gif
but definitely no need to be afraid of me..backhand cannot reach baseline icon_idea.gif

Hi guys, can recommend me a badminton shoes below rm100 looking for a shop in subang. I saw one nike shoes on sale for rm100 in bata but dunno good or not.

I'm just casual player only, started 3 months ago and play once or twice a week. Currently using cap ayam shoes to play. It is quite worn oredi. Thanks notworthy.gif
*
you can look at Apacs and Fleet badminton shoes. they are more or less around RM50 a pair.
if you can top up a little bit more, i think you can get low end yonex shoes.
i bought my Yonex ultima 99 (i think) for around RM120 at ipoh. KL area should be cheaper.
go AJ Puchong for a look maybe? since it should be near to u

QUOTE(Omage007 @ Aug 12 2010, 12:46 PM)
li-ning brand racket very overpriced one. . .  with your budget, maybe can go for Apacs model I listed below, or maybe the Victor Brave Sword & Super Waves series racket. . .

Apac Visible 2000
Apac TanTrum 200
Apac TanTrum 300
Apac Lethal 60
Apac Lethal 70
Apac Lethal 90
*
good recommendation from sifu omage

if u like stiff rackets, give Victor SW35 a try..mind u..it's very stiff and head heavy
BS series has fast swings so might need some time to adapt

oh ya, Lethal 90 follows the design of BS if u haven know

with such budget, i'd go for Victor

if u dun mind an old model, take a look at Victor Artery Tec Ti 99..quite head heavy and slightly flexier than SW35..my all out attacking weapon

SW should be more head heavy and stiffer than the 2 k's
compare the spec

if u mean quality wise then it's very subjective
both are very good brands with victor excelling more in badminton

i'm not sure if it is similar to at600 but somehow heavy head and flexible shaft reminds me of Finnex Infinity 9000

QUOTE(blackstripes @ Aug 19 2010, 03:37 AM)
Hello guys. I need some help cause I'm planning to get a new racquet but my equipment knowledge is kinda little to none.

I don't have a budget but preferably not something over 200+? I know its kinda low but I'm a student. Zzz

My current 2 main racquets are Ace Power Nano Ace 7000 and Pro Ace Ti Speed.

I consider both to be the "heavier" type. I really enjoyed using it last time when smashing was a big part of my game.

But now all of a sudden I can barely smash I don't know why and I find myself playing more of placing/setting shots.

I need a racquet that can either help me regain my smashing abilities or  improve my shuttle placing abilities or both actually lol.

I would appreciate any recommendations and thank you in advance.

ps. Sorry if I tend to be a little long winded.
*
consider apacs clones. anything with a balanced or light head should suit u. they are normally 4u and priced below RM100.
nano 9900 power if u like stiff rackets.
any other nano models if u like medium stiff rackets.

I've been using the RSL Diamond X3 Silver racquet and now when I use my Yolex Cab 21, I even find that one to be heavy. But my smash/strokes are no longer as powerful. Whats a well balanced to head light racquet ? Im interested mostly in Yonex or RSL.  Price range RM300-400. Thanks.
*
i guess for that budget, u can only get RSL.
maybe lower range Ti and NS series?
