i just bought a KX 737AL racket..after play with this racket..it feel like the frame a litle bit heavy than my current racket..Gosen graphlite..and my hand and shoulder hurt..is it the racket too heavy..or i m not familiar wit it yet?

if not mistaken 25 lbf.and the gosen was around 24..not much difference i think..only the kx i use thinner string..mybe u r right..my technique..hurm~

If you don't mind I recommend my own brand, do consider RCL shuttlecocks with the price around RM45 one. But I would say if you increase your budget to RM55, you can get shuttlecocks which are more durable and worthier.

update.... just got Victor Spira21 moments ago.... got it at Taiwan..... had it strung with NBG98 at 24lbs... will test it out tomorrow..... hehehheehe... hopefully it's good... currently it's the most expensive Victor racket in TW....

not sure bout it.... let me test it out tomorrow... nvr own a victor before... was choosing between sw35,sw36 and sp21.... then just pick sp 21 since it's the latest model... hope i am not wrong.....

thx for ur info . i google about kickpoint, but dont really understand... high kick point= can generate more power ?? and i also google pivot point and sweet point... a bit blur la. sweet point = the best spot on string when shuttle contact it?? to be honest, compare to my friend's racquet, my racquet really light. and i need to use VERY huge amount of energy to to clear from my baseline to opponent baseline. i'm using bg 65. izzit string also 1 of the factor it lack of power?? been using this racquet for like more than 6 years...

Heres my 2 cents

Currently I am only exposed to most Yonex strings and Zymax62 and Accupower62.

For yonex strings apple to apple comparison
all strings with the TI word behind each model has Titanium coating which is very slippery on strings.

Nanogy strings are equally slippery and after a few months of play the coating may wear off and you may need to change to a new string for a similar feel.

Basically I love BG80 =D but currently using BG66Maxima a .65mm string from Japan. I hate slippery strings because when i do trick shots such as slices it is inaccurate for me, BUT it may be different for you guys!

oh! I did a 29lbs on my zymax62 and accupower 62 which feels like a 31 for a BG66 so the thinner the strings try to lower down your tension since it feels stiffer!

is that any way for check my string tension??

I got this new racket for myself...Apacs EdgeSaber 10. Very nice, I can do accurate hits now. But have to hit really really hard to smash far. I fitted Ashaway Zymax 67 (durable) @ 25lbs. Should I change to something with more repulsive power or just increase tension to 27lbs?

Yonex Carbonex X8 @ 27lbs.

It is more of a matter of preference IMO. I still prefer rougher strings like BG80 which is better for netplay as it kind of 'grabs' to the birdie when doing tumbling netshots. Currently using ZM67 but it is kind of not as good as BG80 at the same tension. In badmintoncentral, there's a talk about ZM67 being somewhat a little different compared to ZM62 and ZM70.

Sound IMO does affect some what of performance. My understanding is that if you can hear the BOOMING at least you know you are hitting dead on the sweet spot. It gives somewhat of a 'confirmation' that you have hit the birdie correctly.

Jumping smash, what is the reason some people will bend their leg upward and some won't?? own preference? can jump higher? can smash more powerful?

can some one reccomend me some good badminton shoes ?

but every time when receiving serve from opponent, cant put the shuttle in front of net, will tend to miss it or place the shuttle too high,

guy, can i know when is the most suitable time to increase my string tension?? coz today i ask a experience stringer to help me check my tension, he said my tension at most also 22 only, quite low. i feel like increase it but i dont know i should do that or not. been using that racquet for like more than 5 years....

I think high tension is suitable for control,low tension is for more power to smack the shuttlecock if this the same theory as tennis

People get mixed up with control, anyways what is control?

I don't find any difficulty at nets using a head heavy racket, the only major difference i find is that when using an Arcsaber10 and N90 I find it very hard to lift the shuttle high when returning smashes during doubles aggressive play using the N90 compared to Arcsaber10.

Trick shots that only require wrist motion also requires more effort compared to a lighter racket.

That's my conclusion =)

Ya, time to bring some revolution to the badminton sport. . . 

It require a lot more skill to control 2 rackets, can play trick shot more also, opponent need to alert you will use left racket or right racket to hit the shuttlecock. . .    no more backhands weakness attack, now both side also become forehands, both side also can perform jumping smash. . . 

and string snap happen quite offen during the tournament, so now the chances will lose point when string snap can be reduce since you still got another racket to continue the game. . .

power is nothing without control. . .  a female pro player can defeat a beginner male player easily although the male player got double the strength then the female player, get what I mean?  but when skill level is around the same then strength is important, as you can notice the level gap between those world class female player and male player. . .  and heavy racket is very subjective, for a strong guy your heavy racket could be not heavy enough for him. . .

guy, if i dont like my string tension, i need to get a new string and restring?? cannot use back the same string??

Been playing singles lately at south quay with a few guys, haha im an underdog there =p
Ur arm will hurt after your game or maybe the next day if not its alright! Some racket vibrates and some dont. if you are on a tight budget why not try apacs visible hollow series. Most of my racket that i have used dont vibrate much
I've been using bg80 for 2 years, its a great string! A standard rule would be, the ticker the string the higher the tension =D for example

usually you play with BG 66 @ 26lbs
with BG 80 try going 28lbs

LOL, I ALSO PLAY IN SOUTH QUAY!!! will be going there tmr ^^ actually i'm eyeing on tantrum 200. at 1st i put my budget around RM450 and feel like getting a yonex racquet(since most of my kaki using yonex, want to use the same brand so that i can feel united with them  ) but then after few days of reconsidering, i think that no point getting such expensive racquet as my skill still not enough to fully utilise the racquet. i still want to see how my old racquet can serve for the next few games, will try to string it at 26lbs tmr if possible

well, to me she is good.. (cos she sapu me and uncle daveC below 15 point before)
