@silverfire - U're using E8200 rite...

@casperito - nice vcore there dude...but it's the E0...

Anyway I already tested it with IBT for 10 loops and passed the test but windows still gives out random error messages...damn...
*
ur C0 aa?? hmm... at least ur proc gives out accurate temp... mine... 4.0ghz @ 46c idle on TRUE 120.. still dunno wats wrong with it... ignoring the temps... haiz..
as long as u r able to get 4.5ghz below 1.4v is quite nice alreadi... to me 1.4v is too high...

ps: heard that last time u have prob with ur MARS like mine back then (gamers maniac told me.... i think... forgot alreadi).. settle alreadi??

Yea mine is C0...I used real temp to check and it's 32C idle also on TRUE120...why yours high?What u use to check it?

Hmmm didn't tried to reach 4.5 yet since 4.0 already use 1.4v...yeah for me personally also it's too high...but what to do?vNB set to 1.4v and everything else stock voltages...but still far cry 2 gives me random BSOD... cry.gif

Hmmm yeah last time my MARS got problems but I already settle it...and I forgot already the problems...hehe.... tongue.gif
*
real temp also showing the same temp as the Tpower2 utility and core temp... i dun wan to care about the temp anymore... later getting a thermal sensor to check the temp... a fren told me that the lower the VID, the higher the temp.... and ask me to ignore the temp.. and im doing that right now.. ekeke...

hhmmm.. since u r using MARS.. vNB is ok la (i think)... last time didn't get much experience with my MARS... a lot of problem... and that time using E2160 onli...

maybe the vSB need a raise also??
the only thing i learn while playing far cry 2 on my oc system is i need to put my vDimm to 2.0v coz if i set it to auto ie 1.95v the game always crashed on me.
*
not sure about the vSB...
about the vdimm.. usually depends on how high is ur ram running and also depends on the performance level and trfc if im not mistaken... with the right tweak, u'll able to lower the voltages quite a lot... correct me if im wrong... im a noob also.. ehehehe...

I'm using dominator 1066...so in order to run 1:1 with the cpu, I downclock it to 1000...with the stock vdimm that is 2.1v...

oic...

Vich = Vsb >.<

ah.. vICH = vSB... wakakaka.. never knew that... never ever touch vSB when OC... leave it @ default onli...

QUOTE(hilmiangah @ Nov 1 2008, 09:23 PM)
yeah i know.
i also can pass the benchmark test but while playing is when the problem happen.
*
any prob with other games?? or onli for far cry 2??
maybe its not ur OC got problem.. its the game...

My friend's E8400 idles at around 55C-60C and very likely it's a problem with the thermal sensor. I'm not sure if Intel fixed it on newer batches? I haven't been reading up news for some time smile.gif
*
my E0 also have the same problem... idle around 48-52c... use thermal sensor onli showing around 30++c onli...

If that's the case then it's a problem with the digital thermal sensor on the chip. This has been a known problem for the 45nm dual cores for a while.
*
read some thing about it somewhere... forgot alreadi.. but i thot the issue onli occur on C0 chips... haiz... penin alreadi..

huhuhu.. change proc.. rich guy detected.. ekeke..

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Nov 15 2008, 05:49 PM)
My C0 E8200 needs 1.4625V for 4.06Ghz (508x8) so the E0 is still better in some sense biggrin.gif
*
any chance of it getting higher??
since my E84 got crappy DTS.. too afraid to go 4.5ghz for 24/7...
last time tested 4.5ghz @ my lab with aircond.. super pi passed but forgot to took the screenie.. back home it won't even boot at the setting that i saved... haiz...
