QUOTE(xcalibre2007 @ Oct 1 2008, 10:32 PM) Does anyone know normally what is the price to pay for programmer to build an ecommerce website by following my own specific requirements? Normally it will take how long to complete building the website? If you are aware of what you are doing... I think you can find them fairly cheap ... and does the job for you too !! If you are not aware of what you are doing ... you might get somebody who cut your throat and doesn't do a good job

100~500 ringgit is normally shit jobs/desperate people/very inexperienced people.
e-commerce sites cost usually four figures to five figures. for a site that sell their own things, maybe about 100 items it could be around RM3k ~ 7k. if you are talking about sites like ebay, it will cost a lot more.
note that what i say is only an approximation, and it includes custom changes (minor ones)

Well, with my skill, I don't even want to design for somebody. To be a web programmer Master HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript and MySQL at least If you still need to check the internet very often for codes. I don't think you should be programming a web for somebody else. I've got a friend who's a pro at PHP, he's earning big bucks up to 6 digits earnings every project He has connection ... clever dude

Will take a long time to get it done, especially dealing with so many different products. And also how to deal, like bank in, cash, cheque. Damn a lot of work to do. Design part haven't count yet.

that kind of script is usually in the tens-of thousands to 6 figures.
that is why most people just create one themselves, if they know how.

Getting Started

|
TS, if you approach a company that does web-design, hosting and ecommerce you will get quoted at about 5k to 15k per project. it may take 1-3 months.
freelancers' rates will vary. the bottom-feeders will be the students and part-timers who may do it for free as a challenge, student project, or otherwise for a few hundred bucks.
good luck.

Usually about RM3000 for a customize ecommerce cart, you can choose those open source system such as zencart, oscommerce, cubecart. The fuction are more then enough to a new shop. I have more then 20 different oscommerce template which inclide hardware, furniture, flower, car part, souvenier, cloth, sport gear, pet shop... bla bla bla. but i still did not know how to upgrade the system to the latest version QUOTE(frostfox @ Oct 1 2008, 11:10 PM) lol..i would do it for Rm500 Re code the open source ist? Dun spoil the market lo...charges so cheap.

Oscommerce are very good, the basic system already can let u setup a online store... With nice template, you may change a bit higher to the client, I just setup a OsCommerce Mobile Store and OsCommerce Jewelly Online Shop propose to my client.
