personal opinion(no doubt shared by many): worst intro ever for a MGS game.

each of those "ads" have something to do with the game.
example:
the PMC ads.
showcasing how good they are,or what are their strengths.

the David Hayter interview;
shows the Solid Eye,and gives a little background on hayter (didnt know he had a tattoo of kobe before that )

the workout advert;
advertising nanomachines(nanos)

the octopus documentary;
showing how the octopus mimics it's surroundings(honestly i find this most interesting )

the cooking show;
the chef himself says so as he cuts the Snake.

many of them have subtle hints to certain aspects of the game/story.
after finishing the game,replay the intro again..you might catch something you didnt hear/realise before
