Hi guys,

Was wondering how far can this chip go ? Has anyone reach 4GHZ using air cooling here ? I tried playing with this chip (all settings auto) , the most I can reach is 420 FSB x 8 (stable). Idle temperature is around 34c-36c (non aircond environment), full load reach 64c.

One question, I used Core temp to monitor my core temp, it shows 70c-80c for all the core. Where else my Dual Core Centre shows only 64c. Which value should I rely on ?

for ur info,the MSI duo core center always provide fake temp ,it show my proc temp 22 but everest and core temp show normal 44.which cooler u use ?

Hmm, but my bios showing same temperature with my core center.Im just using stock cooler currently.

Use RealTemp... AFAIK 64'C at full load is OK! What voltage did you use to achieve 420*8?

As far as I remember, I set Vcore on Auto. And CPU-Z shows that the Vcore is at 1.18-1.20 range.

If you would set it to 1.3 I'm quite sure you processor can bump up to 450~480 bus speed.

yes it can hit 4ghz... but it depends on ur chip n mobo.....

jsut use the coretemp 0.99.3 or realtemp 2.75 as ur temp reader
