At 68% VLT, this will fail JPJ inspection (for front windscreen) on its own, not to mention adding it to the natural tint of glass which already blocks 5-11% transmitted light. So what are they going to use for the front since it's not going to be legal to put it in the front windscreen.
*
AFAIK, no matter what tint u used for ur front windscreen such as 3M, Vkool..etc for JPJ inspection in Puspakom...all will be failed or will not passed the test! Unless u r willing to pay some "duit kopi"

eh. 3m tint for windscreen appears to be reflect in purple-blue-ish effect right?... ask an accessories shop for that kind of tint. roughly cost rm700 for nissan x-trail windscreen, normal sedan would be lesser than that. imhp

Did whole car, Crystalline 70 windscreen and Crystalline 60 the rest. Pretty good stuff, too bad it's not smart tag friendly.

i somehow feel that vkool is getting theirfilm from 3M, as i do not think that vkool has manufacturing capability.
any comments?
therefore, i still think that 3M is a better choice than vkool.
and, noticed from an auzzie site that, all 3M tint film blocks 99% of UV, just diff by visible light transmission level.

i've been using 3M tints ever since i started driving.... currently using 3M crystalline 70 for the whole car. no regrets using 3M tints.....how does it compare to V-kool? i dunno bcoz i havent used v-kool b4 and it's unfair to comment. but all i know is that 3M is a reputable brand from a very reputable company with good R&D. furthermore my dad has been working with 3M for 39 years hence i'm pro 3M tongue.gif

the only downside abt the crystalline like KITT mentioned, not smartag frenly which is not really a big problem coz my windscreen has a small section with print-on antenna so that part is not tinted...just put my smartag there when i pass through the toll booth.

i did mine at an authorized 3M dealer which is TintWorks at Sunway Mas.

Cheras as in Taman Mauri.

Opposite Old town kopitiam and behind Hotel Maluri. Easy to spot with big 3M signboard.

Personally i find 3M is the best among Vkool and rikecool (top range to top range). i have cars installed with this 3 at home tongue.gif

Ok, great. But the VLT is 68%, this means it will not pass the JPJ inspection.

this is what i heard from a friend of mine working at 3M tropicana there...

he used to use 3M tint on his vios (employee can get better pricing)

after a few years, he changed to huper. I asked him why he changed cause i was also thinking to get 3M for myvi and my friend told me that 3M tint will shrink (especially the front windscreen)

I am here not to flame or endorse any product, just stating what my friend experienced...
