I face the same problem..battery draining so fast. OK let me share with all E66 users...

I went to Nokia Care yesterday complaing about 3 problems faced with this E66 i.e battery draining so fast (my case within 24 hours, hp freeze (need to take out battery) and thirdly - always unable to find memory card.

Following are the reply form Nokia Care.

Battery drain - they actually admit that these 2 models E66 and E71 facing that kind of problem. Since Nokia has identified the problem caused by a particular device relating to the camera, Nokia will replace the component.

HP freeze (hang) - Nokia will upgrade the firmware. But my assumption is that because my phone is unable to detect the memory card and the application will try to search for it. A continuos loop will occur causing it to freeze.

Hope this info can be shared among us.

TS is fine, just delete the 2 files then the battery should have longer time...

I not sure for your case... but I think is better to send to the Nokia service center and check with them...

as per my earlier post...NCC staff admitted to me saying that E66 n E71 has this common problem-battery draining fast..till today my problem still not solved sad.gif

Added on July 21, 2009, 10:20 amI think the main culprit is Garmin which eats up the current from my E66 battery...

I experiment it this way...try not to on Garmin after I've full charged my battery. Yes..it last for 2 day. Its true...

The next experiment is ..when I switch Garmin ..then switch off I ve to switch off my E66 an take out the battery for a few minutes. This will switch of any TSR program run by garmin.

May be the TSR application which causes the battery draining fast.

got e66 from ncc and still battery life dun last even a day...
full charged morning n nite already 1 bar left....
or nite time half full next morning no alarm = battery dead...
why??
bought 2 weeks ago..
sent NCC changed camera module...
*
yes ..thats what NCC claim..change camera module..my case they change the whole motherboard...just a slight improvement..but do not activate garmin....if garmin was actvated...will last for 12 hrs only.
this model, E66 a failure....regret buying this model..really regret...
