Do they really improve the hinge on later batch? Maybe. But lately I still see some people claiming their hinge cracking. The latest I saw is on gamespot where a member claim his crimson ds hinge showing crack and crimson unit is the later batch one right? Also, it is the DESIGN flaw not only plastic sturdiness! Still dont get me? Go look at the hinge design of the gba sp compared to dsl. And u r into 3rd year playing ndsl? Weird, I thought the dsl come out sometime in 2006 and it's only at max 2+ year to date. Oh another thought that come into my mind, is whether the new ds will block the access to flash cart or not since Ninty has discovered the existence of R4...

News of another version of the DS should not be considered surprising, considering that the GameBoy had many many generations before they finally ditched compatibility and naming conventions to reach the DS.

Well, if they are making it with a bigger screen and dual touchscreen. I think that would be a whole new console, instead of a re-design.

kinda impractical if they make the upper screen touchable bcos just look at the way we hold a ds now, if the upper screen is indeed touchable, it will be wobbly and it may create another cracked hinge problem if we poke too much.

im interested ... new ds with internal camera will be usable by games, opening up new game play possibilities.

It's funny how no one follows up on rumours. Nintendo blew the cover on this one. NIKKEI did the entire report on their own, with no INPUT FROM NINTENDO. This is entirely still a rumour. A very unlikely one at that, seeing as Nintendo went out of it's way to tell us that the report was not made with nintendo's consent even though the launch date is a few days away. Doesn't make sense. Stop saying something's confirmed when it's not.

I skipped the GBA generation...from GBC straight to NDSL

i started from GB (fren's) ->gba emulater-> true ndsl..
