I dont care the camera and mp3 functionality since ds is meant for gaming so there is no necessasity to cramp in those hardware! All I can see is the crappy hinge needs urgent improvement since the hinge design is flawed anyway! Also a better hardware quality is demanded since we dont hear a lot of cases like button stop functioning for gameboy etc!

Do they really improve the hinge on later batch? Maybe. But lately I still see some people claiming their hinge cracking. The latest I saw is on gamespot where a member claim his crimson ds hinge showing crack and crimson unit is the later batch one right? Also, it is the DESIGN flaw not only plastic sturdiness! Still dont get me? Go look at the hinge design of the gba sp compared to dsl. And u r into 3rd year playing ndsl? Weird, I thought the dsl come out sometime in 2006 and it's only at max 2+ year to date. Oh another thought that come into my mind, is whether the new ds will block the access to flash cart or not since Ninty has discovered the existence of R4...
