if i were to make a guess, (assuming that you have not dropped your iphone or had an impact on it prior to this), i would think that the JB app modifications could have messed up the main frame.
to eliminate this possibility, simply do a complete a restore without using the backup and set up as a new phone. |

If even after restoring the problem remains, most probably should be the hardware problem already.

QUOTE(geo-milano @ Sep 28 2008, 07:42 PM) enter DFU mode to restore, this will ensure any previous modification to system file will be replaced using original....and don't use restore from backupexample of modified firmware symptoms after normal restoring/upgrading an official firmware/custom FW, u'll still get some of the setting of ur previous firmware, such as MIM, numerical battery etc...even on non-JB FW so use DFU mode to restore This post has been edited by psyeo: Sep 28 2008, 10:11 PM |

This might not be a hardware problem. Did u install something from Cydia (or installer) to modify the vibration pattern? This could be a corrupted SystemSoundVibrationPatterns.plist in the Celestial.framework. Try replacing the plist file with the stock ones and see how it goes. If you restored the phone but sync the old setting then that should answer the question why it still persist even after restore. Syncing with old preferences/backup will copy the old (corrupted) settings (plist files) back to the phone. Aiyaaa ... one more post. Break vows again. |
