I bought the E2200 HD three days ago.

It's a nifty monitor that displays great contrast at 1080p high-def resolution. The speakers are crap though but thank god that you can attach your awesome speakers into the microphone jack on the left side of your monitor. Once you plug your speakers into it, the sounds don't come out of the 1watt speakers on the monitor. They will come out of your speakers. So you can connect your PS3 or 360 to the monitor using HDMI cable and then connect your speakers to the microphone jack on the monitor to enjoy an awesome gaming experience. The monitor has a pretty decent customization features/options for the Standard Mode, so you can tweak the contrast, brightness, etc. there. 2ms response time ensures a great picture quality while viewing movies or playing games.

The screen looks sharp, clean, and very beautiful. The outer cover is a nice glossy black. You can have the monitor stand up on your desk or buy a desktop mount and mount the monitor above your desk or on the wall. The only small issue I have is the annoying extension stand that is designed for the monitor stand that you place on your desk. It angled in a way where your cables (HDMI, VGA, and DVI) will have a slight difficulty in plugging in. But once you force them in, they stay there tightly.

E2200 also boasts the EnergyStar quality - this means that it does not consume as much power as other HD monitors/LCD TV's, etc. And at a mere 10 pounds in weight, it's very easy to lift up. My old 19" LCD monitor was far heavier than this one.

The price is decent for a high-def monitor such as this. So far, I'm quite pleased! biggrin.gif

You pretty much "turn it off" by plugging your speaker system into the microphone jack on the left side of the monitor. The sounds will then come out of your speaker system instead of the monitor speakers. smile.gif

To be honest, every HD screen has its ups and downs. To say that one sucks more than the other is really biased without real proof. These E22 and E24 monitors are good in their own ways and may be of a nuisance in other ways. For example - it's small and energy efficient with great brightness and viewing angle. But because of their small sizes, words and everything are smaller than what you were accustomed to.

No one can say which one is superior or inferior. It really is based on what you need and where you are going to use your monitor.

Even HD televisions are the same thing. You can get one of those really high-end HD TV but if you place them in the wrong area, such as area that has a flood of sunlight, etc., then it's going to look horrible.

Hi Athedian,

May I know where you bought it ?

I went to LowYat and asked several shops, to my surprised, none of them selling shocking.gif
most of them either not selling, or said have to "specially" order, some said stock will available by end of this month ......

Honestly, this is my 1st time buying PC LCD here in Malaysia, I didn't know it's so difficult to get a normal BenQ LCD ....

Please message me the shop & contact number ...... otherwise I may have to buy from HK .....

Thanks in advance !

I have to be honest, I don't live in Malaysia. My friend introduced me to this site for some PC technical solutions. In Canada, it is currently selling at $219 CND so it is roughly around $624 in your currency. I bought it from A-power.com (they sell things pretty cheap there) unfortunately they don't sell internationally. Another friend of mine ordered E2400 from this site and he lives in the States - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/sea...AIN#detailspecs

BENQ E2200 HD is here: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...9416&CatId=2775

TigerDirect.com does ship internationally via UPS World Wide. However, my friend ordered it online and I did not do that. So it's best for you guys to double-check the site first before placing an order.

I believe it does. You just need to set your screen resolution through the desktop display properties. At 1920x1080, it's 1080p. And yes, it only supports 2.0 speakers from the monitor itself. But if you plug in your 5.1 speakers into the microphone jack on the left side of the monitor, the sounds will come out as 5.1 channels. HDMI transfers the sounds as well as the images. So there shouldn't be any sound degradation.

Hi klseet,

I bought it online from http://www.a-power.com/. But they do not ship internationally. You may try http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/sea...AIN#detailspecs . TigerDirect.com does ship internationally via UPS World Wide. However, my friend ordered it online and I did not do that. So it's best for you guys to double-check the site first before placing an order. I understand that international shipping may be quite expensive though...unless you have a friend that lives in North America or something and have him/her bring it to you.

BENQ E2200 HD is here: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...9416&CatId=2775

Sorry I can't be much of a help. I can only review what I have experienced so far.

Hmm...maybe we can wait for pcfair? It would be held this december is it? If I'm not mistaken Benq should be having a booth there. I also have a thought that the sellers in Lowyat are reluctant to sell E2200HD or T2200HD. Most of them when I asked, they said they have only T221W. When I checked with the authorized distributor, they said two shops from Lowyat took from them. But when I called the said two shops, both of them said they don't have the stock, only T221W.

When I asked again with the authorized distributor on E2200HD, they said it could be officially launched this December. However, they would still try to sell old stocks first, eg T2200HD.

So guys, let's wait and see.
