yes there is.

Windows configured such that it takes a few minutes to auto shutdown "hanged" applications. When you configure it to 200ms, it will auto kill the program. If your program takes awhile to update their configurations or any software takes time to update (eg bittorrent)... you kill the program before it updates anything and next thing you know.. u gotta start where u started earlier.
