Use paper clip and poke through the hole, slowly put some force into it until the tray pops out. Don't use needle.

Okay, try it again with a paper clip. Bend the paper clip a little bit and then pull it slowly. See if this method works. I'm warning you, do it slowly and carefully.

Or did you use some sort of unlocker SIM that goes along with the original SIM card chip? Then it must be too tight to pop out.

Just don't poke anymore, wait till you meet nokia2003 and let him check the situation. Else you gonna break the ejector and it's very fragile.

well as expected it is out of my reach. TS put two layers of cellophane on his SIM card, causing it to be too thick or the glue from the cellophase as melted as the result of the heat generated

dismantling the phone is the only option now.

@ sudhirian

to be honest, there is actually a rumour (i have tested this but doesn't work) that if you stuck a cellophane on the SIM card, it will increase the contact surface with the gold plated panels. hence this will improve overall signal strength from the network. TS has actually stuck two layers to his SIM card.

however, for my case i didnt cut the cellophane according to the shape of the SIM (as i have also anticipated this). i focused mine towards the centre bit. but once i have found that it doesnt work as prescribed, i removed it days later.

this also brings me to my next point, there were actual glue residues on the SIM card. this is obviously expected as the iphone do generate a substantial amount of heat. so those glue residues could have "spilled" over to the edges of the SIM card, causing it to be stuck.

i didnt offer my help to dismantle for two simple reasons; i'm not really an expert in dismantling one and i have not dismantle one with the SIM card tray still inside (fearing that it might break inside). try to look at the schematic drawings of an iphone and you will understand my paranoia if i cannot remove the tray first prior to dismantlement.

crxr can definitely fix it. i have the slightest doubt.

anyway, one is trying to increase the SIM card thickness by putting a cellophane. the rest is pretty self explanatory.

Still cannot fix but hes finding a way to go about solving this problem. Most likely have to destroy the sim tray and get a replacement sim tray. Now have to figure out how to destroy the sim tray?

what about a small piece of hard paper to boost up the touching of the contact points btwn the sim card and the reader in the phone? wldnt that be better perhaps? currently what solution are you using? or have u jz left it inside to hang in there?

dunno man..
all i know is, since i put my simcard in, i never took it out..
plus, i did sandpaper alot of it before i put it in
its quite thin now.. works fine still.. and when ejecting, eject it VERRRRY slowly, the moment u can see a bit of the sim card, use your nail or something to push the card down as u pull it out from the slot. less chances from getting stuck.
but i think in the case of TS, from what i here, it can't even eject.
well, just be careful guys..

As nokia2003 have stated in post 38, the tape doesn't actually boost the reception but to make the simcard chip surface to contact more tightly to the iPhone connector.
