Hi Lyn members,
Im using laptop with normal intel HD graphic card to play movie with my tv. I have tried splash player the only player that can decode DTS HD master audio. My prob with this player I cant enable the spdif passtru, is there any alternative I can do this.
Do you have any recomendation for other player that run smoothly for MKV file or perhaps upscale a bit? Do MKV media file contain HD audio?

thank you very much for your reply 1024Kbps... the prob is using mpc hc i could not get the HD audio working... I can get normal DD or DTS but not DTS HD or Dolby TruHD...
In addition I can really tell a diff using splash and mpc hc.. splash is more smooth but i could not get normal dd or dts audio in here. and im not sure if mpc hc could plyt m2ts file because there is no audio when i try to play them.
in order to get DD or DTS in mpc hc i hv to ticked the AC3/SPDIF encode mode.. but when listening to normal laptop speaker the sound is completely broken and I hv to change it back.

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Mar 18 2011, 01:14 AM) Hmm i thought ffdshow support them, probably need separate directshow decoder or something, or may be need to configure the HD audio decoder manually. Haali media splitter support m2ts, and try to enable all audio decoder support on ffdshow see if it could work. splash player free version dont support spdif passtru, mpc-hc and ffdshow probably is your only options. Sound card on your pc only support PCM thats why the sound is completely broken. there may be no way to do this automatically ... Btw im not pro on this area because never tried the spdif/hdmi stuff before hmm... im using haali as well.. but i failed to make it work.. someone told me to use gabest instead of haali.. but i dont know how to integrate gabest in mpc hc. anyway tks for your reply 1024kbps, appreciate it.
