Is anyone having gpu acceleration problems on vlc?
I wanted to test out whether there is any significant change to video playback if it's on gpu.
The video playback became laggy worst when I ticked on the option.
My laptop specs: AMD AThlon X2 p320 (2.1ghz) 2GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
Is there any need for an update or do I have to change the video output (currently on default) or simply there isn't any support yet for my GC?

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Oct 17 2010, 07:27 PM) What is your OS? Though i never tried VLC hardware acceleration before, try mpc-hc recent build first, make sure your ati catalyst is up to date. download recent build here: http://www.xvidvideo.ru/media-player-class...4-1-4-2667.htmland read the guide here http://imouto.my/watching-h264-videos-using-dxva/Win 7 64 bit I'm not sure whether I should update my ATi Catalyst cause the default version is 2010.0329.836.13543 First time trying to update my GC and I'm not sure whether it's OK to mess with it. Read ur guide and it's very informational but it would take a while for me to follow it cause having exams now.
