Hello people.

I have problems watching HD movies on my pc.
720p lag. 1080p VERY lag, especially when scrolling thru the time. Voice sync will run.

I am using Klite megapack(latest ver). MPC. Running on win7 64bit.
Rig specs:

1.86ghz core2duo
2gb DDR2 667 ram
Nvidia 8600GT OC edition

Previously i was on winXP, and i uses CoreAVC with CCCP which runs fine. But as time goes on, CoreAVC cannot decode newer movies properly. I will experience the color artifacts and mosaics effect.
So when i changed to win7, i uses MPC with KLITE. I noticed the lags starts then. I tried changing to CoreAVC too, but it still suffers from lag.
Watching a 1080p (10gb++ size movie), i noticed the CPU usage is at 70% and above. In between movie, voice sync runs out, lags, and even sound being cut off.

Any ideas?Does adding in another 2 x 2gb DDR667 gonna help?I cant change GFX card since my PSU only 300 watts WITHOUT the molex sockets.

Afaik, the MPC was set to run on GPU processing.

QUOTE(fariz @ May 8 2011, 10:47 PM)
if CPU usage is 70%, MPC is not using GPU decoding

a low powered GPU such as ati HD6570 or nvidia gt430 can run without external power source

you can read more about hardware decoding here: http://imouto.my/watching-h264-videos-using-dxva/
*
After setting, then i played the same video. Now in the MPC, the bottom there is written "Playing [DXVA]". I assume i did the right way.
Then in properties, i saw this message:

DXVA Mode : H.264 bitstream decoder. no FGT
Video card : Nvidia Geforce 8600gt

Meaning?

Now time seeking is faster, CPU load is lower between 18-30%. But i still see the jerkiness in 1080p.
Could it be i am downloading (150kbps) files to the same hdd where the movie is playing?
I tried another one in another hdd with the download running, same.
Stopping the download only improves by a little...
