I'm using VLC player and i have the same problem, the video will lag all the way until the end its impossible to watch at all.. Is there any way to tweak vlc settings to compensate for my specs? i don't even mind compromising a little video quality as long as its smooth..
my specs: Pentium 4 2.60GHz 2.5GB RAM Radeon 9550

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Oct 16 2009, 10:08 PM) your pc spec has a slim chance to play 1080p video smoothly, try CoreAVC? here is how to "tweak" the vlc: http://wiki.videolan.org/WindowsFAQ#H.264....ack_is_too_slowmplayer can disable more for better performance, but quality very bad, eg lotsa frame skipping + ugly blocking Thanks alot! CoreAVC did the job very well. its at least 80% better than before now. At least the video is watchable and the lagginess/blocks are much less. I don't expect to watch 1080p videos on this pc, i'm already very happy if 720p vids play well. Thanks again =D
