Pls do join iconic vacation club !! It totally fraud!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT EVEN GO FOR THE SALES PRESENTATION!
Luckily I didn't sign up for the membership. Want to try their free room first but this is what happened to me.
Sepang Gold Coast Golden Palm Resort / Iconic Vacation Club – cheated of “free room”.
First they called me to attend a 1 hour presentation, which they promised that after listening to this, they will give me a “free room” at the Sepang Gold Coast Golden Palm Resort.
After that, when i called up the Golden Palm Resort for booking, they told me (almost automatically), that there is no room availability for all the next 6 months (which “happens” to be the entire validity period of my “free room” voucher. ) Even though I called up 2 weeks after the time I got the voucher (it was definitely not a last minute booking since validity is 6 months!).
So my voucher will simply be forfeited, and I’m cheated of my “free room” just like that.
I wrote in to complain, but all they replied (in another almost automatic email) is : “You have signed the Terms & Conditions, we have your signature!” The condition says that “This voucher does not guarantee a room, is subject to availability and on a first come first serve basis.”
But they force me to agree to their T&C and sign it, AFTER I have spent the 1 hour listening to the presentation. Which leaves me no choice but to sign it, if not they will not issue the voucher at all. The sales person who sweet talk me to attend the presentation didn't say "your free room is not guaranteed.. she said YOU WILL BE GIVEN A FREE ROOM after attending the talk."
Don't you think that what this company Iconic Vacation Club is doing is a cheat and scam? I mean they lure tonnes of people to attend their sales talk by promising “free room” for their luxurious beach resort, but they simply DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY to give you that free room.
And now I found out they treat the PAYING MEMBERS with the same unprofessional attitude. Their rooms are all subject to availability. Do not even think you can get your bookings at the dates and hotels you want despite booking months in advance. They can reject you based on their terms and condition which says "Your booking is not guaranteed, subject to availability." This applies to paying member as well.
DO NOT ATTEND THEIR SALES PRESENTATION AT ALL!
