Hi..

I've got an Inspiron 1525 and wondering if its possible to swap or upgrade the motherboard on it so that I can get the nvidia video card..

the current onboard video card is slightly weak for gaming

I think 1.7 is ok vs size of netbook .. but depend how long has it been used and the condition.. you can check if it still has warranty on dell website.

He'll have to check the specs first I guess... If the specs are good, take it dude. It's a good bargain.

OR, save money for the up and coming new Inspiron 15.

i follow alex guide but some place are not so clearly but managed found myself to clean up the dust. but damn i open it and wan clean it time, i found out my inside not so dirty. i risk so much for nth. faint.

Added on January 19, 2009, 1:15 amwhy when i at firrst using dell ram and i get memory subscore is 5.3, but after i install 2gb ram from kingston and now become 4.7 marks. and become the lowest rate for my system. anyone know why?

i tried many ways de still cannot..i reinstall the touchpad driver but still same..i found out device manager thr got "1" mark on Dell Touchpad..i reinstall dthe driver also same..any idea?

from wat i know,kingston ram famous in low performance..just they famous in brand..

too bad place that i went only gt kingston brand. i ask for other brand but they said only got kingston brand. sad

guys is it possible to modify the GC inside 1520? maybe 8700 or up comming 8800 in near future? GC's will be too big to fit in and not compatible to motherboard?

nop..impossible...but u can modify the processor if u wan...

why my 3dmark score only 2000++? and you guys all like 5k ++??? driver problem???? driver is the same with XPS gaming version got it at gure3d forums.. RAM 2G 1.50GHZ

i am using inspiron 1520 with 8600m gt .. but when playing some game.. it will suddenly freeze and stop working and say graphic problem.. u all got this problem ?

maybe ur driver got problem..try use other version

wat game u play?i playign gta4 with low setting.some time it freeze after i play 1hour+(not always).the graphic sudd change to duno wat look..wait a while or quit the game then backto normal..

i think cuz u never update the driver before ever since u bought this laptop...cuz the driver they gave u suck big time...

my gpu temp is around 50 when ideal. why is that so high

its normal la...mine also around 50

HOW ABOUT PLAYING GAME? AND HOW ABOUT UR IDEAL CPU TEMP AND PLAYING TEMP?

that's normal for gpu temp when full load

but cpu isnt it too high?

i not to sure it continue to remain at the tmep or juz a while den drop b to normal temp.
