My friend sent over his Iphone saying that he accidentally locked the iphone, so I plug it into my pc using itunes but nothing was detected. Then i tried to plug in mine and to my horror, my phone got locked too. FYI, i am using v1.4. Now whenever i turn on my iphone, it was in blackscreen as if it is in cmd mode. What can i do now? cry.gif cry.gif

The picture with the usb plug yo the iTunes logo is the DFU mode.
To enter into DFU mode:
swtich off phone ---> press and HOLD the home button ---> press the power button to switch on the phone.
Try plugging it into your computer, see whether it detects the phone.
Try another USB port if it fails or try on another PC.

Hmm... weird, just keep trying to get them detected when in DFU and restore it.
Can you check in your Task Manager whether Apple Mobile Device & iPod service is running ?

You can start them both under Control Panel ---> Administrative Tools ---> Services

Thanks, it works, now that both the iphones are in DFU mode. But my USB still cant detect the iphones due to the apple recovery (iboot) driver's problem.
