ur phone might have data packet tracker to see how much data sent/receive.
then check ur telco rate based on the amount of data received.

tools > settings > system > distance/speed > metric

download the garmin taiwan version. there's a link a few pages back in this thread.

if u very confident, just download the file and run the entire installation by following the instructions on the program.

another way, if u not confident about installing and overwrite ur original files.
u unzip the download file into a separate folder. DO NOT INSTALL INTO UR PHONE.
then inside the folder, look in 'voice' folder. copy the canton file into ur phone at

card memory>garmin>voice.

this way, u can get canton voice, but not chinese fonts.

erm, the map is valid map and does not require a serial, right?
normally, if need serial and dont have, it will pop up when u start gmxt, say u dont have license, etc, etc.

how about ur setting for "DISPLAY"? is everything enabled and put size large?
maybe also, you have to zoom in more to see more detail.
