i dont support piracy but i cannot deny the fact there are >9000 handfon shops who do this as an extra income. everywhere u go and look in sg wang, lowyat plaza, times square, all the handphone shops will install anything for u for a smaller fee. even blind ppl also can read their small advertisment prints on their stall that sez "Garmin software available here".

garmin is no longer producing any mxt so no need to hope them focusing on maemo.

wanna run garmin gps buy a garmin phone. if they launch for maemo, there goes their garmin phone which i doubt is the direction they are taking.

sell the phone and buy N series.

original have to pay around USD 99.90 i think. i round it up to say USD 100 is easier la.

and i stated this before, as much as i dont believe in piracy stuff, it is seriously impossible and unavoidable to walk thru shopping malls with handphone stalls bearing signs that say Garmin software available here RM xx.xx

warez can be classified as illegally obtained software, meaning hacked or cracked. non-original or pirated.

yea unfortunately garmin mobile is expensive. USD100 is alot of money, but there are other alternatives.

original mapking is RM19.90 from m3gps.
googlemaps is free to download and install but voice navigation is unavailable and the routing is crappy. and it sucks up alot of data charges.
nokia maps is also free to download, but navigation costs a few hundred a year. and also sucks up data charges as well.
papago when launched for symbian should be around RM100-150. but not yet launch for symbian.

only for taiwan not malaysia means havent launch yet la. we not chatting in taiwan forum oso.

and maction software is in mandarin words, not engrish. they got tmc , we dun hap.

if u pandai abit can use mfm standard map to start navigating in taiwan version.
