Dunky (or other authorities), I have a few questions. Could you clarify a few things like:-

Rules and Regulations related questions
1)
Do you mean like if I changed the models to look like Incredible Hulk only on my com? Or by typing lodscalerigid thus lowering the graphics detail of the models shown on the user's PC? If its niether of these, please state them.

2)
So I can change the resolution and Aliasing but I just can't modify the texture section of the graphics? What about Frame rate per second in the options?

3)
By unfair, you mean benificial to only me, yes? Also, scripts as in console written? No so sure what you meant about this part. Could be just me. Could you give me an example?

4)
You mean taunting the opponent in-person? Or finding out a player's weakness and exploiting it by abusing it?

5)
How much time in advance will be players be notified if the maps are changed? Can't be on the same day can it?


Non-Rules and Regulations related questions
6) Any registration fees?

7) Any players banned from this tournament?

8) Any total registration limit?

9) What time are we needed to be there to register and what time will the CoD4 FFA Challenge start?

10) If I play on the first day, can I come back on the following day? If I'm top 3 from the first day, can I come back on the following day?

Issue 1 and 2 you don't have to worry since you will be using the computers provided by the organizers during the tournament. Those issues are if you install external files which changes the player skins and also the map textures. ie the enemy players are all red colour so you can see them from afar and the cap points area are yellow coloured so it is easily spotted.

Issue 3 I am not sure for COD4.

Issue 4 is more like game exploits. You are exploiting the map bugs to win. For instance, go to areas where you should not be able to, etc.

Issue 5 is up to the organizer. It could be on the tournament day itself but before the tournament starts.

Hey thx for the feedback. Alright, I'm clear with all 5 of them then. I'll just reconfirm them.

1 & 2, I cannot install external files which banefits me but in this case, I'm allowed to change the graphics. Good cause even in the last ACGC, some players complained about lag even on the advanced PCs we were using. Wouldn't want that to happen again.

3, alright but just as long as nobody sticks their thumb drives into the PC or starts opening up their emails and downloading files, it should be fine.

4, ok so I guess screaming and chanting wouldn't be a problem.

5, well ok but i guess there shouldn't be any last minute changes. The Sling HD Arena held at Singapore changed their maps on the day of the tournament. They had trailers planned for the newly selected maps but they informed us last minute. Wasn't very happy with that matter.

Ashley, this is a FFA competition right ? So, you wanna scream and chant to yourself after getting kills ? Later Organizers think you are insane, and ban you from the Games. hehe just joking

so the regis first come first serve?

Alrite so i'm interested to join. But why did the organizers forget to mention the important details like

1. Where and how and when do we give in the registration form
2. Is the registration fee FREE or is there a small fee for participating
3. How does the schedule of events flow on both days
4. What time should players gather to register on both days
5. What is the maximum number of playing slots for each day
6. MOST IMPORTANTLY, what time does the tournament actually begin so players can be sure to be there before game time
7. Lastly, can players bring their own "war gears" such as own gaming keyboards and mouses and headphones etc

Hope the organizers would reply back swiftly as decisions for players have to be made fast and soon too.

Signups should be free. At least, they were when i joined the tourney while it was in Times Square. And you don't get to use your player profiles either iirc.

Anyway, i'll be there lurking with my camera. If you see someone with an Olympus hanging out at the CoD4 and PCGAMER booths, chances are that it's me. Give me a hi and you just might get your mugshot on Multiplay's or Shrine's site.

Brief Overview for u kan chiong fellas.

Due to todays "LATE" or "DAMN LATE" start, wait let me emphasize more, arrived at 10.30am and waited till about 5-6pm!!

After a tiresome day of waiting, eating, more waiting, and then some hardcore, nail biting, cursing, loud shouting by "Quack" and "Dogg", COD action, the top players were picked for the finals, final match ended at 11.30pm!

The finals of Saturday ACGC COD4 FFA, will be held on Sunday/Tomorrow 2PM.

I think he means that the first day was 1st place to SWL, 2nd and 3rd to ESP. Then on the second day it was reversed. 1st place to ESP, 2nd and 3rd to SWL. =D

Lol, your "situation" scenario would only hold true if you actually had something I was interested in purchasing. And in the business world, that _is_ the case. If I cant wait for a seller, I wont do business with him and would bring my money else where.

Likewise, if you were not willing to wait, I'm fairly certain that another replacement could have been found just as easily.

No doubt no one likes to wait or be delayed, but the situation was as it was on that day. It wasnt as if the PCs were just sitting there looking pretty and nothing was being done.

If you're planning on playing in more tourneys, get used to the waiting. While the organizers will try their best to mitigate any problems, fark ups beyond their control are bound to happen.

Sadly, i waited for 4 hours. Wanted to go eat but my friend fasting, but that my hope to see ACGC in the future.

Sorry for complaining coz im not paying anything for it.
