QUOTE(Spade @ Nov 15 2008, 04:08 PM) Yes of course I know that. I'm a DiGi fanboys remember? But its damn high compared to UOX which is 10c for 8pax and 15c others regardless of on/off campus and no "30 Days only" reload validity. This is where I lost my magic of persuasion to persuade people to move to DiGi. All these while I argue base on fact but on this UNIVERSITY package thingy, the fact in not on our side. At least for now (I hope). Added on November 15, 2008, 4:12 pmThat is one of the main drawback that make it hard for fanboy like me to persuade people in porting to DiGi. UOX's rate is just too difficult to resist at the moment. But if your friend hardly call and only sms to Digi, then he/she should go for Digi instead. Either way, Hotlink is still the most expensive.

QUOTE(Spade @ Nov 16 2008, 09:59 PM) As for SMS only to DiGi. Its hard to find that situation happen in real life. Please don't expect me to argue that to them coz so far I persuade people to choose DiGi because i believe DiGi offer the best package. As for these Campuses thingy i have to admit defeat at least for now. UOX good for both on/off campus to any provider remember? Thats the clincher that i can't rebut. Yup, UOX's no on/off campus is a good deal. It doesn't make sense actually to have the on/off campus thing, you're not in the campus all day long, and the time you will be making calls are mostly when you're out of campus. Hotlink's Campus plan is the crappiest of all, off campus even sms back to normal, 7cents for own network

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Nov 17 2008, 10:00 PM) -Teddy- there is still some unknown reasons y ppl still choose to have hotlink instead of digi to be there primary line.dun ask me y, but yeah, im one of them as well. Perhaps because it has good coverage. And they don't feel like switching to Celcom since very few of their friends are with Celcom. That's what my friends are thinking.

Just noticed that the Celcom + Streamyx RM108 deal is gone (I even got the form the other day but I'm told that it's gone 3 days ago, wtf?). And now I have to hunt for a new deal. I'm on UOX now, and my school is not listed in the participating universities and colleges list. My sister is studying in one of the participating university, but she will be graduating next year.
If I use her name to port my UOX to DiGi Campus, what would happen after she graduate? The expiry data will be 4 years after service activation or they will know when you will graduate and terminate the plan accordingly? For now there is no more in zone or off zone for all calls and sms-es? I will be studying at Batu Berendam. Heard that EDGE speed is acceptable in MMU, hope it will be good too in Batu Berendam.

Nice. This way I won't feel bad dropping my UOX. The fresh graduate plan is for the 5th year since service activation, regardless you're studying, working, dropped out or just anything?
They do accept port in from any other network straight to this plan? What are the procedures? The free unlimited data after RM30 usage is really unlimited? With no string attached like speed throttling, FUP or anything like that? I can on 24/7 without any intentional disruption from DiGi?

The data is EDGE only or will switch to 3G as long as there is coverage? Also, all the rates are nationwide right? No more on-campus off-campus thing? If there is still on-campus off-campus then I can forget about it already.

Can I still receive calls when I go online? I plan to use my phone as modem to go online using my laptop. When I'm out, I can use my phone itself to go online. All without the need to worry that calls will not reach me?

How much does it cost? Trying to keep cost low, that is why I'm happy to know that it's a all-in-one sim card, as I can use my phone for everything.
Won't a dedicated modem be too inconvenient? You have to plug your sim card in and out.

Ambassador? Sure you are It should be fine even if the internet connection will disconnect when there is incoming calls, at least that means that I can setup push email to my phone, and all day long auto Twitter update. After the call ends the EDGE will auto reconnect? Too bad the Digi customer chat is only open for existing Digi customer. Would be nice if they open it for everyone else, has great potential to pull in more customers.

No need to call the CS yet. We have fruitie here How much does an international sms cost? Normally they cost more on these student plans than on conventional plans right? UOX charge me 50c each.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jul 25 2009, 11:29 AM) If not mistaken all telco already changed the rate to 20c per sms right? Havent tried on celcom though but digi and maxis I know already 20c....umobile no idea hehe I check my log on Celcom's WSC, and it says 50c for the international sms I sent. But it doesn't matter, I don't text internationally often. If I'm not mistaken, you can opt out from any stupid sms spam on Digi right? When I'm on Hotlink, those spams come every single day, sometimes few a day. Then I port to Celcom, now less, one in every few days or so. Hopefully when I port to Digi I can eliminate those spams all together.

Went to Celcom branch just now trying to change my UOX ownership to my sister, then she port to Digi Campus. But I'm told that I cannot change UOX ownership, have to port out, doesn't make sense and is stupid, but whatever.
So I'm gonna port to Digi normal prepaid first, then change ownership to my sister, then she apply for Digi Campus in her university. Is that procedure correct?

I saw this on Digi's MNP page: " Note: You may not switch or change rate plans during your first 3 months with DiGi, so switch wisely!" Meaning my plan won't work? What about port to Hotlink first, then change name, then port directly to Digi Campus? I have to get into Digi Campus before 1st September

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 20 2009, 09:35 AM) Some roadshows offer plan conversion. Most of the DiGi Centres do not entertain plan conversion to DiGi Campus. Even if the outlet is listed as "Participating Outlets" on the Digi Campus page? I plan to port in directly to Digi Campus at one of the outlet near my house after I successfully transfer my number's ownership to my sister.

Went to a Digi Specialized Store, they say they only sell new Digi Campus number, won't do porting. My best bet is to visit Digi Centre?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 21 2009, 01:29 PM) You may have a try but don't put high hope though. They are more keen to sell new SIM packs. Why would they want to make it so difficult to port into Digi Campus, even in their very own Digi Centre? QUOTE If you are a new user having a mobile line subscription with another service provider, you may also choose to port-in to the new DiGi Campus™ plan at any participating dealer outlet nationwide from 12th June 2009 onwards. Guess they should change this. Not at any participating dealer outlet. Will try my luck in Digi Centre later. Even the online porting doesn't include Digi Campus in their rate selection.
