yaya
i register in August 2009
but *126# said i will end my plan in 11/01/2011

how to fix it ?
and i am graduate in may 2012
can i still register tis plan again ?
*
No worry nothing to fix, every of us are having the same validity till 2011 only. smile.gif
For example I reload today then the reload validity is 11.01.2011, I reload again next month so the validity will change to 11.02.2011, then I reload again in March, it will change to 11.03.2011 and the list goes on. OK, fast forward to next year, it will change to 2012. Can understand? sweat.gif Then it will continue for 4 years or until your age has reached 25... That's the meaning of 4 years validity.

No, cannot anymore.

QUOTE(cwye @ Jan 12 2010, 01:11 AM)
my friend register this month, and *126# said Reload before Jan 2014,

is that this mean the plan will until 2014 by reload every year once?
but as my friend aged 24, will it auto expire next year even it showed 2014 on *126#?
*
You need to perform reload at least once per year.
I believe yes, will expire next year. I asked CS before somewhere last month, they told me either 4 years validity or 25 years old comes first will void the plan. smile.gif

they doesnt have 3g coverage around cyberjaya yet thus i'm thinking of signing up edge plan. is it good ?

mind share what plan is available for existing campus plan user ?
*
Actually DiGi Campus is only for EDGE speed but just that since we are in the coverage, so we request it to activate for us. smile.gif

QUOTE(aziz225 @ Jan 15 2010, 07:17 AM)
haha.. because since last 3 months EDGE is not that good, hardly can achieve 150kbps, average speed is 120kbps, quite slow.. now on 3G, can get 400kbps constant.. using nokia 6630 which doesnt have 3.5G.. i wonder what the speed is if i use 3.5G modem  tongue.gif
*
It is the same even though it captures HSDPA connection but DiGi has capped us to normal UMTS speed, so it doesn't make difference. smile.gif

How's the edge speed compare to 3G/HSDPA ? As I mentioned , my area is not cover by 3g nor hsdpa thus leaving on edge. Do you think worth to apply for their edge services ?

If yes , mind share what kind of packages is available for it ? i myself have usb hsdpa modem , do you think it's better to have another sim card for this alone ?

thank you in advanced.
*
Maximum EDGE can go is around 220kbps.

Yes worth it, for normal surfing and chatting and some light downloads too. smile.gif

No package, only one data unlimited for RM 30/month.

Yes, it is better to get a dedicated SIM card for data but DiGi Campus only allows one student ID for one SIM card.

which means that if i register another sim card(normal plan), i wont get the rate @ Rm30 right ?

if only campus plan user can get @ rm30 per month , possible to use my e71 as the modem for surfing via notebook then ?
*
Yes, you won't. Normal prepaid is RM 5/day for unlimited Internet.

Yes, possible but I don't think you can receive calls nevertheless.

this digi campus can only be use in campus ?

btw.the minimum age to use this is 18 until ?

since im 17(18 this year but my bday so late),can i just buy and register later ?

a bit afraid this offer will not last until nxt year
*
No, anywhere, anytime.

Until 25. But it only has 4 years validity, assuming you are registering it this year, 4 years later will be 22. So, your package will last till 22 only.

QUOTE(singdreams @ Jan 16 2010, 03:47 AM)
@fruitie ,i got one offer there ,is that recommend i get this one with this price?

quoted from http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/faq.do
13. I will be graduating in one year. Can I continue to use DiGi Campusâ„¢ after graduating?
You will get to enjoy the 4-year validity period even after graduating. However, we will provide you with a Fresh Grad Postpaid Plan with an unbeatable value. This is to reward your support for DiGi Campusâ„¢.
based on the faq above, we should get 4 years validity regardless of our age rite?
*
Not all, it depends on your age.

QUOTE(steventan85 @ Jan 16 2010, 11:37 AM)
wow , that's bad... are all UTAR's campus inside digi campus list ?

i think u can clone ur simcard..
can ar?? not sure.. ask the expert..
*
It is illegal and not all SIM cards can be cloned. Do not try suggesting something which is illegal here.
However, Maxis has multi-SIM, that is legal as provided by the telco.
This doesn't apply to DiGi and other telcos.

im sorry..
didnt know it was illegal..
*
No problem la, small matter. laugh.gif tongue.gif

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jan 16 2010, 10:34 PM)
If they don't provide multi-SIM service cloning is should technically be useless as well right? Both cannot possibily co-exist
*
Yeah... And what's worse when you can only register 1 SIM card for 1 student ID. sweat.gif

QUOTE(darkskies @ Jan 16 2010, 10:52 PM)
Sim card cloning can be quite risky. I'm not sure what ver the ones we are using. From what i've learn v2 card and above doesnt work very well with sim card writers. Any attempts could actually corrupt the card causing it to be useless. But it's still workable provided u know what to do.
*
Somebody actually offered me a cloned Celcom broadband before but I rejected the offer because I will put myself in a risky situation, I meant in term of compliance issue.

I wanted to ask , the Rm30/month data can be use only in zone area ? or i will be charge more and more if i use it in other places or away from the zone area !
*
Last time the zone based only applicable for calls. Data and SMS-es had no zone based limit.
For now, calls are no longer zone based, can use it everywhere.
That applies for data and SMS-es too. No more zone based.
You won't be charged extra.

how to activate 3g? i thought the digi campus is 3g ready? if not activated then we only surf at edge speed even when we are in 3g area?
*
Have to call them if for prepaid. It will be activated almost instantly.

QUOTE(shark7 @ Jan 17 2010, 10:24 PM)
how about if i register now? i mean im 18 this year, but im still 17 years old right now.

so min age is 18? ..ergh.
*
It follows the year of your age. For example, 2010 = 18 years old. What if your birthday is in December? sweat.gif
You entered primary 1 also according to the year right? smile.gif

How to check whether the mode is unlocked set or locked set ,Access Point Name ??

Usually these modems are unlocked unless you bought from Maxis then it might be a locked set.
Yes, that is APN.
For DiGi Campus, the APN is diginet
