Well i was asked by a friend to join cause she wanted that Zherva (did i spell it right) mount and poof here i am. Im n Bleeding Hollow btw, hordie. I've read some guides etc on the 3 classes but have yet to decide what to go for.

Im wondering between priest or a warrior to choose. Reason for a priest is that i enjoy being useful to a group while being sort of hard to keel (Umm Disp amirite?)

But then again warriors seems to be fun to pvp with with a big 2hander doing good bursts though i understand that warriors are very dependent on their equipment to achieve some amazing damage.

Mages also seem fun, being glass cannons in most games but doing tremendous damage is always something i enjoy to do in games but from what i know their extremely hard to master and have a small margin for errors.

Which do you think i should go for though? Im not that new to the game but ive never retailed sooooo..... This is gonna be my first char too. I dont mind a slightly steep learning curve as long as the end turns out fun.

Feel free to post your ideas etc on what you recommend instead and why.

i got a strange answer for you, when you can't decide which to play, and you "think" you like to do all three things...

go Paladin, shaman, and Druids

all three can do all what you like, healing, casting almost like a mage(but not in big numbers), and melee, because they are the hybird class.
they can do it all, BUT can't do it very well sad.gif .

the sad part of being druids, you can't see your Epic weapon/armor, since you spend most of your time in other than human form sad.gif .

the sad part of being a priest is when pug(put up group/group with someone you don't know) in an instance, some jerk dies, he'll just blame you when its obviously his fault. although this RARELY happens, but its just ruins the moment. sad.gif

i play warlock because i DON"T want to play to the "good" class anymore, and once i got the taste of "evil", i never look back brows.gif .

the BEST answer for you:
is to ask your friend to explain how every class works(not in wow, in RL or by phone) since you help em' get the mount. its only fair that she help you understand how each class works. she IS your friend, not using you to get the mount... right wink.gif ?

playing the class that feels right is important and a very enjoying experiance. and can last for a life time

P.S. you friend playing wow is a "she"? cool.

pic or it never happen tongue.gif

if she would wanted to make lock as her new main, ill suggest a mage for some PvP pwnzzor

if she still keen with priest as her main, pick up Warrior. at least when both of you play together you just need to go "LF3M DPS XX instances!" simple!

Well, warrior is equally important as a priest. They are rare tankers. However, you will only be wanted when u reached 67-70. That's where you shine out.

Therefore, from 1-66, you can try DPS and tank from then on. Sometimes, the fun of tanking is not always about the damages you do. Is how you keep your team mates ALIVE by holding agro.

priest. easy to play, hard to master. ho ho ho ho

warrior? well why would u want to roll 1. theres over 9000 of them running around out there. they are not "rare". only a handful have decent clues on how to be a good tank. heck i lvled my pally by just chain-instancing from lvl 40 onwards with a warr tank.

well in every 100 warrior, 15 specced prot, in those 15, only 5 might have even the simplest idea of what they are doing...

if you think you can be versatile (tank for PvE and arms for PvP), i dont see warrior is a bad choice.

Kalgan play warrior remember, so he definitely going to keep buffing them Warriors!!!

Hmmm, mixed feelings in em all eh. Well im not much of a pally or shammy liker really. xD Druids and rogues are out cause their kinda everywhere plus rogues should be the most overplayed char in mostly every game anyways.

U ain't seen quick until you've seen a Frost Mage and an Affliction Lock in action.

Added on September 19, 2008, 10:41 amHmm...I have a dwarf priest in Bleeding Hollow actually. Created during downtime to have some fun with friends there. Then never leveled again.

Mages - shouldn't be difficult to master lah. So cheesy already.

Priest - Make sure your oh-shit buttons easy to reach. Go shadow so that less downtime for mana drinking. Plus, in shadowform, you're equivalent to a mail wearer. U can still decently heal in shadow until level 70 dungeon instances.

Shaman - Get a weapon that is speak 2.3 i think (have to check EJ forums). Burst damage is crazy for Enh. And emergency chain healing is always good. Just that while leveling up, not enough mana until u get the TBC gear.

Pally - Going to be wearing cloth healing gear until u reach lvl 70. Grinding in Ret and then maybe AOE at 30-40, can't remember. Check wowwiki.com --> Talent Builds.

Not Shaman. Definitely not a Shaman.

Yes, I play a Shaman. No, you don't want to be one. Trust me.
