naa i heard about Directx 9L for XP that equal to DirectX 10 Vista.. Just rumors on the net.

Yea.. buy Vista, it came with DirectX 10.

No it won't lol. The architecture is different and DX9.0 won't be able to support the MAJORITY of the new features that was introduced in DX10.
Anyways, latest version can be downloaded from Microsoft's website. Altho if you update your windows Vista to SP1, you will automatically get the DX10.1 update (only works with DX10.1 compliant ATi cards)

anyway it's just a rumors rite? Haiz.. still a long way to go for Vista. yeah, why sould they make a new directX for Xp rite because XP goin to ice aged soon.. so do i. LoL.

yes..they dont make a new directX for Xp rite again coz now they alraedy launch the vista and promotion to use the vista..like the laptop now..if you go to shop all of the laptop is os now in vista

I dont think Microsoft will wanna make DX10 for XP coz if they do many ppl will still stay with XP instead of Vista
That y many wanna enjoy DX10 have to upgrade to Vista

It's not a rumour...It's been released but use DirectX 10 in Windows XP with your own risk. The modifier has mentioned that the DirectX 10 still under BETA testing...However some BETA tester already found out how cool it is smile.gif

DX10 for XP is still BETA and "chrisling" is right. Most rumors mentioned that most bugs have been ironed out. Do remember that your graphics card must also support DX10.

can i safely assume that it is not from microsoft? cause directx 10 is one of the few things that makes people buy vista

DX10 comes with windows vista...there is no way you can get DX10 in XP execpt u got the *erhem* version
