QUOTE(Shafique @ Sep 18 2008, 08:58 PM) naa i heard about Directx 9L for XP that equal to DirectX 10 Vista.. Just rumors on the net. No it won't lol. The architecture is different and DX9.0 won't be able to support the MAJORITY of the new features that was introduced in DX10. Yea.. buy Vista, it came with DirectX 10. Anyways, latest version can be downloaded from Microsoft's website. Altho if you update your windows Vista to SP1, you will automatically get the DX10.1 update (only works with DX10.1 compliant ATi cards) |

It's not a rumour...It's been released but use DirectX 10 in Windows XP with your own risk. The modifier has mentioned that the DirectX 10 still under BETA testing...However some BETA tester already found out how cool it is

DX10 for XP is still BETA and "chrisling" is right. Most rumors mentioned that most bugs have been ironed out. Do remember that your graphics card must also support DX10.
