..^what do u mean?.if we set the xbox/ps3 setting display to 720p, does the monitor upscale the pic to 1080p?.. i guess not cus from what i read so far specifically for xbox 360, if we use hdmi cable, we can set the resolution and also the definition (720p/1080i/1080p,etc)..
