Same thing happened to me whilst I was on TMTouch some time back. It was a company given number and all bills are directly auto-deducted from my salary. However, there was some RM400+- that was outstanding of which Finance didn't make payment to TMTouch, however, was deducted from my last drawn salary. This was a mess. Didn't know about this until I wanted to sign-up for Celcom Broaband and the agent told me there was an outstanding on this TMTouch number in 2001!!! Dang... that far back? Oh well, didn't want to wait, so I asked kindly could I nego one-off payment. To my surprise, they gave me 40% OFF for wanting to pay off the account. WELL WHY DON'T YOU LOOK AT THAT! Being responsible has its perks you know! So i ended up paying only RM200+- or so and that's IT!!! They provided me a settlement letter and I was off of the Blacklist! Just like that!!!
So you see, just walk-in and negotiate. Tell them what you're willing to pay and they'll be glad to help out. Don't worry... all is well and I know you'll do the right thing...
