hey, I've question to ask.

I'm Law Student.

How do you guys think of West of England, Bristol?

Hw's Liverpool City? Any comment?

I'm aiming University of Liverpool, but my insurance might be UWE.
This is because Liverpool requires average 60% whilst UWE pass all. So I'm afraid to put other university. I got condition offer of 60% from Cardiff and 50% from Leeds.

Afraid cant achieve 60%. Anyway, I'm HELP University Student.

let's say I put Liverpool and Leeds, and I cant meet both the conditional offers, can I apply again by end of June when my result is released?

Anyone would give brief intro on Liverpool City and bristol? hw about cardiff and leeds?
*
Is that University of Cardiff? If that is the one, then I would say that is the best. I know HELP has linked with Uni of Manchester, why dont you choose that one? UWE is different from Uni of Bristol. Uni of Bristol is top Law school in UK. Liverpool is a city in north west, a port city. A small china town, and people there has very very strong sculser accent. But generally is a friendly city. Strong wind, lower living cost compare to Bristol, and it is very closed to Manchester.

Bristol is a hill town, slightly smaller than Liverpool but closer to London, calm and peace city. Higher living cost as it is south west of england,

Another question, is foreigner can enter more easily than UK citizen? One of the post said that entering Medicine in Leeds also have person with ABC despite UK person struggling to get in even with AAB. Is it true?

I think must be because of higher tuition fee they can charge to international student.

It depends on what aspect in terms of good you are looking for:
for lower living cost - I guess Cardiff
for the quality of life - I guess Cardiff too
cant compare like-a-like, unless you really be there. But both are good i can say.

Can you not try other university on your own rather than via HELP? Personally I think if you pass your HELP, you could go to many good law schools, and not limit to these few. I think Southampton, Uni of Chester, Uni of Keele, Uni of Portsmouth, Uni of Teesside are all good with student services like they have link with local enterprice which you can gain work experience from. If your result is good, can try top-end universities (not sure with the fee though, it might be alot - eg: University of Manchester, London School of Economics)

if other unis, we dn enjoy reduction of 1k pound fee biggrin.gif

Anyway,

wad do you mean by saying quality of life at Cardiff is better?

I'm now working hard to achieve the desire result of 60% since HELP marking scheme is stricter than other universities around. Our class hardly score more than 10/20 in our current tests (we have tests every week now until final exam). Still trying to improve.

i check the rankings too. Cardiff is slightly lower than Liverpool for Law. As the rest I listed, are around 50-60.

I wonder if I can apply after 30th of June? Is it too late? Cz only then my result is released and in the event I cant get into my desired universities, will it be late to apply for other unis?

Cant you choose University of Manchester? I remember last time I had a course mate joint final year which he transferred from HELP too. But it was several years ago...

Well, the 1000pounds discount.. it is not much.. I dont think you should just limit yourself to the 1000pounds. There are many better law schools then UWE, and Northumbria...

personally, i graduated from university of Manchester. I love the city, and love the people there. But I have to say their student support in terms finding work for students, extra lectures on specific issues, and etc are basically none... My friend - an education counsellor - said southampton is the best in terms of students support - but I have no idea. I was in Manchster for my LL.B.

I guess the news a few days ago mentioned that you need to demonstrate you have enough of money for your tuition fee + 5400pounds for living cost. not RM200000. but sustainability of income is one thing you need to show.

Middlesex is in London, living cost is about 9000pounds per year. Other part of Uk you can easily get away with 5000pounds

LOL. Letter heading making a difference between getting a visa or not getting one. What would they think of next? Didn't like the font?
*
The new visa letter format contains the sponsorship licence number of the university. Rejection because the old visa letter did not show it, therefore the officer could not check if the institution has the legal right in UK to recruit international student. This step further safeguard illegal institutions in UK, and overseas student can feel safer to study in UK.

documents needed:
1. VAF 9 - fill it online
2. Appendix 8
3. Student Survey Form
4. Financial proves - Saving account under the applicant's name or joint account but applicant's is one of the holders (FD accepted if bank issues a letter to confirm the FD duration plus purpose of the fund maybe) - RM85k should be enough for undergraduate, and RM90k for postgraduate (depend on ur tuition fee)
5. VISA letter, make sure your uni issue an updated VISA letter with appropriate approved format.
6. Photo ( pls check their photoguidance)
7. Itemise list
8. All documents you used to apply your course (include reference, personal statement, SPM, STPM/Alevel/preU and degree) - should have mentioned in your visa letter, prepare accordingly. If your VISA letter mentioned your PMR, sorry you still have to produce PMR

I think thats all, correct me if I missedout any
